Ready for a blast from the past? We are firing up the WAYBACK MACHINE and dusting off a vintage Sims 3 challenge from Week 50 - the very first year of the Sims 3 BuildnShare challenge. Buckle up and go back in time with us!
You weren't sure where to look. The couple in front of you seemed to have forgotten you were there. Sitting in front of you on the opposite couch were The Meronas, Carlos and Betty. Newlyweds, of course. They were entwined around each other now, Betty in Carlos's lap.
It started with some simple affectionate patting as they started to explain how they had decided to have a modest wedding and set that money aside to have a honeymoon retreat built. "Somewhere romantic," Betty had said as Carlos rubbed her knee.
After informing you that they wanted a secluded, romantic hideaway and how they only had a budget of 35,000 simoleans, you looked down to jot down some notes. By the time you looked back up, Betty was in Carlos' lap and they were in full "make out" mode.
You tried clearing your throat softly at first, but they continued. After a few more moments, you decided to just get up and leave them alone for a bit.

ENTRY DETAILS: This little cottage by the Brindleton Bay seaside is just the thing for the couple in love! A small kitchen and dining room, a large fireplace for snuggling in front of, and a built in spa-tub to relax in. ENTRY DETAILS: I decided to make a very intimate dining room for the newlyweds. It's main feature is a modern fireplace flanked by indoor waterfall fountains with bright florals on the bottom. The walls are dark to give a sense of coziness and let you focus on the romantic fireplace while they eat.

ENTRY DETAILS: This is the perfect place for that high paced city living couple to come to recharge their romance while unplugging from their everyday life. The one bedroom is detached from the rest of the house creating a type of intimacy and privacy any couple would crave. While you'll be spending most of the time in the bedroom there is a quaint kitchen with everything you'll need to refuel you for other activities. The spa like bathroom is the perfect place for a candle lit soak, to relieve those sore muscles. A cozy living space is ideal to Netflix and chill or if you'd rather slow dance to your favorite Babyface song. All in all this getaway is just what every couples should experience once in their relationship.

ENTRY DETAILS: #BNS113 #113 - Love Shack This Windenburg cottage is one story with one bedroom, one bathroom, eat-in kitchen and a living room. The neighborhood has steams and ponds, lovely wild flowers and a rustic little bridge, all of which provide lovely, romantic walkways. There is a nice area with picnic benches near the pond and small water fall. The front deck has a couch to cuddle up on while enjoying the mood lighting provided by a tree strung with lights and set in a planter. There is a bonfire the Meronas like to "cosy up" near and the lantern lighted Lilac tree provides another romantic setting near a nice fishing pond. Love is already much in blossom in this tiny starter home. It has a lot of exterior features for romantic newly weds and it is a perfect starter home due to room on the lot for exansion. #MOO #hiddenobjects #playtested

ENTRY DETAILS: After all the stress and excitement of the wedding, Betty and Carlos knew they wanted to honeymoon someplace quiet and secluded. They just wanted to get away from it all. And the perfect place turned out to be a small lot that sits on the lake in Windenburg. It was totally secluded, surrounded by trees and foliage. The lake was perfect for fishing, and there were plenty of hiking trails in the area.

Is your sim looking for a place to propose, have a honeymoon, a romantic getaway or just wants a lovely & romantic home for two? This cozy, romantic cottage has what your sim couple needs to have that special time alone! Your sims will especially love the hot tub, fireplace & loveseats, bonfire, dual bathtubs, candlelight & flowers. If they are feeling playful there's a game table, books, plus a small TV (big enough to watch a romantic movie but not so big it is an overly-fun distraction to the hubby... just sayin'...). (And all sims love the globe bar, so I just had to add one of those. Romantic aura and moodlet objects will also help them stay in the mood for love (plus it has the 'romantic' lot trait)!
The evening’s highlight is a lovely garden gazebo with a special dinner for two (click the swans for a flirty moodlet, click the violin to hire a violinist, and click the table for food and drink instantly - or even choose chocolate in the fountain!). The mystical tree and alien flowers add a lovely iridescent quality and an extra-romantic feel to the back yard/garden, especially at night. Romance is in the air everywhere on this lot... and all for under $35,000!
Funny aside note... when I tested the lot I had the couple use the buffet table in the gazebo to 'order' their meal, and after their time in the back yard they went into the home. Well, I was not paying attention to the back yard but at one point I happened to lower the wall and 'lo-and-behold' there was a group of neighbors (probably that silly 'welcome wagon' group) eating away, visiting with each other and enjoying the back yard. They didn't even get distracted by the need to bother the couple by knocking on the door, loafing on the porch, or leaving an an offended huff... win-win. Neighbors are won over with no annoyance. Lol!

Storybooks end in Happily Ever After so how about a storybook cottage? The other requirement was a getaway so tuck said storybook cottage away in the jungle. Now we have a storybook cottage with palm trees instead of an english rose garden. I hope this combination is not too odd. Happily Ever After is a three room cottage in the jungle with some outdoor living space as well.

You weren't sure where to look. The couple in front of you seemed to have forgotten you were there. Sitting in front of you on the opposite couch were The Meronas, Carlos and Betty. Newlyweds, of course. They were entwined around each other now, Betty in Carlos's lap.
It started with some simple affectionate patting as they started to explain how they had decided to have a modest wedding and set that money aside to have a honeymoon retreat built. "Somewhere romantic," Betty had said as Carlos rubbed her knee.
After informing you that they wanted a secluded, romantic hideaway and how they only had a budget of 35,000 simoleans, you looked down to jot down some notes. By the time you looked back up, Betty was in Carlos' lap and they were in full "make out" mode.
You tried clearing your throat softly at first, but they continued. After a few more moments, you decided to just get up and leave them alone for a bit.

The neighborhood has steams and ponds, lovely wild flowers and a rustic little bridge, all of which provide lovely, romantic walkways. There is a nice area with picnic benches near the pond and small water fall. The front deck has a couch to cuddle up on while enjoying the mood lighting provided by a tree strung with lights and set in a planter. Is your sim looking for a place to propose, have a honeymoon, a romantic getaway or just wants a lovely & romantic home for two? This cozy, romantic cottage has what your sim couple needs to have that special time alone! Your sims will especially love the hot tub, fireplace & loveseats, bonfire, dual bathtubs, candlelight & flowers. If they are feeling playful there's a game table, books, plus a small TV (big enough to watch a romantic movie but not so big it is an overly-fun distraction to the hubby... just sayin'...). (And all sims love the globe bar, so I just had to add one of those. Romantic aura and moodlet objects will also help them stay in the mood for love (plus it has the 'romantic' lot trait)!
The evening’s highlight is a lovely garden gazebo with a special dinner for two (click the swans for a flirty moodlet, click the violin to hire a violinist, and click the table for food and drink instantly - or even choose chocolate in the fountain!). The mystical tree and alien flowers add a lovely iridescent quality and an extra-romantic feel to the back yard/garden, especially at night. Romance is in the air everywhere on this lot... and all for under $35,000!
Funny aside note... when I tested the lot I had the couple use the buffet table in the gazebo to 'order' their meal, and after their time in the back yard they went into the home. Well, I was not paying attention to the back yard but at one point I happened to lower the wall and 'lo-and-behold' there was a group of neighbors (probably that silly 'welcome wagon' group) eating away, visiting with each other and enjoying the back yard. They didn't even get distracted by the need to bother the couple by knocking on the door, loafing on the porch, or leaving an an offended huff... win-win. Neighbors are won over with no annoyance. Lol!

ENTRY DETAILS: This Romantic A~Frame Hideaway was made for The Newly Married Merona's. Carlos & Betty. Their "Love Shack " - Is located in Windenburg at the secluded Dock Den lot. It is the perfect place for a Romantic Hideaway. This A~Frame hideaway has 1 bedroom, 1 bath and plenty of space for relaxing & skill building . This retreat has the best of both worlds - it is on a secluded beach facing the water , and it's nestled round the back by a rustic wooded area..

Storybooks end in Happily Ever After so how about a storybook cottage? The other requirement was a getaway so tuck said storybook cottage away in the jungle. Now we have a storybook cottage with palm trees instead of an english rose garden. I hope this combination is not too odd. Happily Ever After is a three room cottage in the jungle with some outdoor living space as well.

ENTRY DETAILS: A quaint and rustic one room cottage (plus bathroom) surrounded by flower gardens and ample seating to take in the views of the lake. It has a spa on the rear deck for the warm nights and a fireplace inside to cosy up in front of on the cold ones.
