#BnS122 - Summer Camp
The deadline for this challenge is 10th July 2019
It isn’t often you meet a client at a site, but this is the perfect day for it. The sun is shining and the whole land seems to turn its face toward its warmth and smile. There is a gentle breeze rustling through the trees and a bee bumbles past you as you walk from your car toward the shrieks of laughter coming from the children.
From across the field you see Mrs. Davis smile and wave at you. You return the gesture and soon are shaking hands.
“Thank you so much for agreeing to meet me here,” Mrs. Davis says.
“It is my pleasure,” you say. “Such a beautiful site. And the children already seem to love it!”
“We are hoping to make that a reality for many more children,” she says. “So many kids who have only ever known the city. Summer camp might be the first time they’ve ever been around trees and open air.”
You nod and take out your notebook. “So what are you looking for?”
“The usual, mostly,” Mrs. Davis says as she fends off a pair of rambunctious children playing swords with sticks. “Cabins for the kids, toilets and baths, mess hall, office...”
You are both distracted by the sudden wail of a child having fallen down and scraped a knee. Another adult scoops him up.
“Oh yes, and a nursing station,” she says with a sigh. “Of course, outdoor activities, too. That is the main point.”
“Of course,” you agree, jotting down ideas already as you look around you and think of how you can fit things in without losing the natural beauty here.
“When do you think it can be ready?” Mrs. Davis asks.
“I think you can expect your first batch of summer camp recruits two weeks from now,” you say with a smile, loving how surprised she looks.
THE BRIEF
The Budget is §199,000 (lot cost must be included in this amount)
On at least a 30x40 lot
Include cabins or tents for at least 8 children
The camp also needs hygiene facilities, a dining hall, communal gathering area, director's office, nurse's office, and at least three outdoor activities for the campers.
Include plenty of nature elements on the site.

Camp SunnySim is all about getting back to basics and into the outdoors, and I’ve tried to make it feel like the camp blends in with the surrounding area. With space for 8 girls and 10 boys, the sleeping might be basic but the camp offers lots of activities…swimming and canoeing on the lake, fishing, horse riding, bike riding, axe throwing, camp fires and a climbing wall…..there’s also arts & crafts and a chance for kids to show off their talents on stage in the nightly show.
CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM: Yes please
CREDIT FOR CC/RECOLORS: Lots of CC used – some recoloured by me (I learned some SimsStudio just for this challenge!) I love CC and got much of it before I realised I’d need to credit but includes – Severinka, SimDoughnit, Ozyman, Budgie….apologies to the many other amazing artists that I’ve definitely missed! I tried to keep the CC cost in line with maxis costs (no $1/high quality etc)

ENTRY DETAILS: Crystal Springs Camp is a summer camp nestled deep in the woods. I tried to make the lot feel very full of foliage and rocks so that it seems like you are actually in the forest. Activities for the children include a ropes course, amphitheater, campfire with guitar songs, hiking through the woods, horseshoes, exploring the cave, and swimming in the hot springs.

ENTRY DETAILS: Camp Selvadorada features various activites for campers, including swimming, basketball and gardening. The camp also has a beautiful firepit, and a fun clubhouse for those dreaded rainy days. The director and nurse's office are located next to the large dining hall with a state of the art kitchen. (note: I wasn't able to set this lot as residential, since I built it in Selvadorada. Instead, it's listed as a national park)

ENTRY DETAILS: Oh, those memories of old summer days gone by. Summer Camp memories. Camp Alam was built on the Alam Museum of Archaeology lot in Selvadorada. Beyond the Main building- ( which holds the Directors office , dining hall, Nurses station & Communal gathering area ), is a Pool, a Playground , basketball courts , 2 horse shoe pits and many other skill building areas , full of summer activities.There are 2 cabins that sleep 6, and tents..Come join in on the Fun at Alam Summer Camp.. Either for a week or just the day..( the Buildings were Inspired by the Summer camp I attended when I was Young )

As they are both part of the LGBTQ community they decided to start a summer camp for LGBTQ teens and allies. Here they celibrate pride, love, equality and much more.
After they found the beautiful location on Sulani, they met Kall, an island native, who then joined them on their mission.

ENTRY DETAILS: Oh, those memories of old summer days gone by. Summer Camp memories. Camp Alam was built on the Alam Museum of Archaeology lot in Selvadorada. Beyond the Main building- ( which holds the Directors office , dining hall, Nurses station & Communal gathering area ), is a Pool, a Playground , basketball courts , 2 horse shoe pits and many other skill building areas , full of summer activities.There are 2 cabins that sleep 6, and tents..Come join in on the Fun at Alam Summer Camp.. Either for a week or just the day..( the Buildings were Inspired by the Summer camp I attended when I was Young )

As they are both part of the LGBTQ community they decided to start a summer camp for LGBTQ teens and allies. Here they celibrate pride, love, equality and much more.
