ENTRY DETAILS: The Whimsyville post office may be small, but this gives it a more personal feel, where customers can be assured the employees care about them and will handle thier mail with care. The break room is narrow but has space for a fridge, coffee pot and microwave as well as a TV, bookcase and stereo for use during breaks.

Enjoy shopping in the gift shop, twirl on our ice rink until your hearts content and enjoy warm beverages and food in the upstairs cafe. Feel free to trim some of our trees. We have a bigger-than-life tree with a train. Inside the tree, kiddos can have their pics made with Santa and there is the Blue Christmas Lounge for those needing a break from the merry-making.

DETAILS: Turns out building a whimsy research lab isn't the easiest task, but I did my best: This is RS128. You are probably guessing what that stands for? Well, it basically says Research Station on 128. 128th is the road we are on... but don't tell anyone, the guys here like to keep their secrets! Kinda like Area 51, which you know, is the Government Testing Area 51. Just with the difference that we actually have Alien plants here.... ups, I wasn't supposed to tell you that I guess?! Hmmmm, well, I can show you around the public areas today and if you promise to keep RS128th secrets I might be able to show you what we have in our domes.... maybe.... with a signed confidentiality agreement....

DETAILS: This is the bus stop at Oak Alcove. Behind it we have a little playground for any impatient kids - I wonder how many of the missed their school bus already?
I would have liked to upload the pictures on imgur, but for some reason that side isn't working for me right now. So flickr it is, which means the describtions are only visible when actually clicking on the picture It's a bit of a bummer, I like it when they are actually in the slide show. Sorry about that...

ENTRY DETAILS: This one was a challenge for me! I don't believe that I have ever created something whimsical before. So this is my attempt, lol! I chose to combine the Barber shop and the Beauty parlor, using bright pretty colors for the Beauty Parlor and kind of a cartoon theme for the barber shop.

DETAILS: This is the Mushroom Cafe owned and managed by Maria. She inherited the mushroom from her grandparents Gnomeo and Juliet and decided that is was to small to live in but perfect for a small cafe. She is also slightly addicted to coffee, so anything where she can dedicate her live to the little beans is just perfect!
CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM: Yes please. Also, I was building on my laptop and anyone having some experience with how to navigate the camera that way and willing to help me out is the greatest person ever! I miss my computer with a decent mouse....

With ample seating, both inside and out, several facilities to make a quick pitstop, and an ice skating rink - yes, an ice skating rink! - there really is no better place to stuff yourself on a dish of Forgotten Marshmallow, Magic Realm Ripple, or Willow Creek Crunch. Oh, and, while you're there, be sure to check out the gift shop. You too can go home with a Freezer Bunny or Coolala of your own!
