#BnS136 - A Tiny Hangout
The deadline for this challenge is 30 April 2020
You are just tidying up your office when you hear the door close behind you. You turn to find a teen-aged boy slouching into the room. His hair is black, and his eyes are bright blue. He is about medium build, although it is hard to be sure since his clothes are so baggy.
"Hello," you say warmly. "How can I help you today?"
He looks at you blankly. You notice the wires coming out of his ears. He removes his ear buds, and you repeat yourself.
"Yeah, hey," he acknowledges you. "I am just starting college in the fall."
He pauses, so you congratulate him. Then you wonder why he is here, smacking the gum in his mouth and staring at you.
"Yeah. yeah," he finally continues after a very long moment. "My parents have given me a small plot of their estate to live on."
Again he pauses, but this time you merely wait on him.
"Right, so...I need a place to live," he says. "You know, on this land. But I don't know how to build, do I? So I've come to you to build it."
"Well, you have come to the right place, Mr?"
"Oh, right. Yeah. I am Guy Orange," he says, giving you a slight smile that looks suspiciously like a smirk.
"Well, Mr. Orange, let's start with some basics. How big is the lot we have to work with?" you ask politely.
"Yeah. It measures 20 by 15," his eyes never leave you. His staring is beginning to make you jittery.
Suddenly he blurts out, "Half of the lot needs to be a hangout space, maybe around a fire pit. For me and my mates."
"Okay," you say, hiding your shock with some quick note taking. "You will need a bathroom, a place to sleep, a place to eat... What else would you like?"
"Yeah, so... a place to study. And a place to play video games."
"That is very do-able. What is the budget?" you ask briskly.
Still staring and chomping on his gum, he answers, "They gave me $30,000. Yeah. I need this quick. They want me out of the house, like yesterday."
"I can have it for you by the end of the month," you assure him.
"Yeah. Get to it then," he says, putting his ear buds back into his ears and still staring at you. You nod as he gets up and slinks out of your office. As soon as the door closes, you pull out a small mirror and check your teeth for any food caught in them, wondering what he had been staring at.

*use a 20x15 lot.
*the house itself should be no bigger than half of the lot, placed at one end of the lot. You can build up and down in the same footprint.
*outside needs a fire pit and landscaping.

Their decision was accelerated by the fact that Guy likes to party and his parents (who are admittedly a bit snobby) don't like having the "riff-raff" around.

Guy Orange might seem like a spoilt, sullen teenager to outsiders, but he's really just a quiet and shy kid. When his parents told him he needed to move out, they also said he could live in the old shed at the end of the garden. Guy likes to hang out with his friends to play games, watch movies and sit around the campfire, so this is a perfect spot for him. His small budget didn't allow for too many luxuries, but he has what he needs: a bed, a kitchen, a bathroom, a study, and a place to hang out with his friends.

ENTRY DETAILS: Guy is an older teen who has moved out into his first home. It meets requirements for a Small house in Tiny living (94 squares). Guy , being a teen has splurged on items like his computer, 2 TVs and consoles but has extremely cheap counters and appliances etc. Decoration is minimal and masculine - the only art is some posters which reflect Guy's interests. His house is set up as a party pad with a fire pit, cooler and grill. This is my first time experimenting with terrain tools (I chose this build because it was on a small lot).

ENTRY DETAILS: This is my entry for Guy Orange’s new loft style apartment. I thought that his parents would have gifted him a small parcel of land at the back of their property and we "utilized" an old barn or shed for his new home. I decided to go with a loft style as you can create more space for less, I wanted to add in a barbecue on the balcony but went with lounges instead.

ENTRY DETAILS: Guy Orange and his parents have been at each others necks for a while now. Guy loves to have his pals over a lot and his parents are tired of the noise in the house. They have always been a very close family and they don't want him far from home. To make things better for everyone they have offered up part of their land and a $30,000 Loan to build a small living space of his own. My job was to build it for him. It was quite the challenge with the budget, but i managed to build and funish his small home for him. He'll be moving tomorrow and I really hope he likes it.

I saw this house watching a HGTV show and made a full sized one. Thought it translated well into a tiny home with a few changes. Hope you all like it

ENTRY DETAILS: Three-member family, two parents and a teenage child who will be starting college soon. Parents are well-off and not afraid to spend their money on their son. Guy, however, is a pretty low-key person, preferring to simply hang out with his friends between study sessions. He isn't flashy or snobby like his parents, so it's probably a good thing he's getting his own space soon!

DETAILS: Guys Tiny home! It fits on the 32-tile category. I really wanted to build a tiny home for a long time, but I still really struggle with the Sims4 not allowing half floors. They are so important in small spaces! As a result, most of this is build for looks and not for total playability...

ENTRY DETAILS: One-Man Hangout is designed to fit a single bachelor prepping for university life. It carries a masculine tone while retaining a sense of warmth and coziness inside. Many measures have been taken to increase the maximization of space inside. The home includes a carport, a backyard with a fire pit, a laundry area, and roof windows to make use of natural sunlight. Although small, it can accommodate groups of friends for games and other gatherings. Classified as a Tier-3 Small Home by the Tiny Living Board, it comes with additional benefits.

ENTRY DETAILS:
Guy Orange is starting university in the fall and his parents want him out of the house "like yesterday". They have given him one of their old storage warehouses on the docks, which we have renovated into a nice cozy hangout for guy and his friends. You see, Guy comes from a wealthy family. His parents own a shipping company in Brindleton Bay and have worked very hard to make it successful. Guy on the the other hand does not have the same ambition as his parents. All he seems to care about is having a good time. His parents are hoping that this will finally teach him some responsibility. They are insisting that he goes to university so that he will be qualified to one day take over the family business, because as it stands now they are seriously considering other possibilities.

You are just tidying up your office when you hear the door close behind you. You turn to find a teen-aged boy slouching into the room. His hair is black, and his eyes are bright blue. He is about medium build, although it is hard to be sure since his clothes are so baggy.
"Hello," you say warmly. "How can I help you today?"
He looks at you blankly. You notice the wires coming out of his ears. He removes his ear buds, and you repeat yourself.
"Yeah, hey," he acknowledges you. "I am just starting college in the fall."
He pauses, so you congratulate him. Then you wonder why he is here, smacking the gum in his mouth and staring at you.
"Yeah. yeah," he finally continues after a very long moment. "My parents have given me a small plot of their estate to live on."
Again he pauses, but this time you merely wait on him.
"Right, so...I need a place to live," he says. "You know, on this land. But I don't know how to build, do I? So I've come to you to build it."
"Well, you have come to the right place, Mr?"
"Oh, right. Yeah. I am Guy Orange," he says, giving you a slight smile that looks suspiciously like a smirk.
"Well, Mr. Orange, let's start with some basics. How big is the lot we have to work with?" you ask politely.
"Yeah. It measures 20 by 15," his eyes never leave you. His staring is beginning to make you jittery.
Suddenly he blurts out, "Half of the lot needs to be a hangout space, maybe around a fire pit. For me and my mates."
"Okay," you say, hiding your shock with some quick note taking. "You will need a bathroom, a place to sleep, a place to eat... What else would you like?"
"Yeah, so... a place to study. And a place to play video games."
"That is very do-able. What is the budget?" you ask briskly.
Still staring and chomping on his gum, he answers, "They gave me $30,000. Yeah. I need this quick. They want me out of the house, like yesterday."
"I can have it for you by the end of the month," you assure him.
"Yeah. Get to it then," he says, putting his ear buds back into his ears and still staring at you. You nod as he gets up and slinks out of your office. As soon as the door closes, you pull out a small mirror and check your teeth for any food caught in them, wondering what he had been staring at.

Guy Orange might seem like a spoilt, sullen teenager to outsiders, but he's really just a quiet and shy kid. When his parents told him he needed to move out, they also said he could live in the old shed at the end of the garden. Guy likes to hang out with his friends to play games, watch movies and sit around the campfire, so this is a perfect spot for him. His small budget didn't allow for too many luxuries, but he has what he needs: a bed, a kitchen, a bathroom, a study, and a place to hang out with his friends.

ENTRY DETAILS: Guy is an older teen who has moved out into his first home. It meets requirements for a Small house in Tiny living (94 squares). Guy , being a teen has splurged on items like his computer, 2 TVs and consoles but has extremely cheap counters and appliances etc. Decoration is minimal and masculine - the only art is some posters which reflect Guy's interests. His house is set up as a party pad with a fire pit, cooler and grill. This is my first time experimenting with terrain tools (I chose this build because it was on a small lot).

ENTRY DETAILS: This is my entry for Guy Orange’s new loft style apartment. I thought that his parents would have gifted him a small parcel of land at the back of their property and we "utilized" an old barn or shed for his new home. I decided to go with a loft style as you can create more space for less, I wanted to add in a barbecue on the balcony but went with lounges instead.

ENTRY DETAILS: Guy Orange and his parents have been at each others necks for a while now. Guy loves to have his pals over a lot and his parents are tired of the noise in the house. They have always been a very close family and they don't want him far from home. To make things better for everyone they have offered up part of their land and a $30,000 Loan to build a small living space of his own. My job was to build it for him. It was quite the challenge with the budget, but i managed to build and funish his small home for him. He'll be moving tomorrow and I really hope he likes it.

ENTRY DETAILS:
Guy Orange is starting university in the fall and his parents want him out of the house "like yesterday". They have given him one of their old storage warehouses on the docks, which we have renovated into a nice cozy hangout for guy and his friends. You see, Guy comes from a wealthy family. His parents own a shipping company in Brindleton Bay and have worked very hard to make it successful. Guy on the the other hand does not have the same ambition as his parents. All he seems to care about is having a good time. His parents are hoping that this will finally teach him some responsibility. They are insisting that he goes to university so that he will be qualified to one day take over the family business, because as it stands now they are seriously considering other possibilities.
