#BnS138 - A Gem of a Vacation Home
The deadline for this challenge is 30 June 2020
You know the instant the elegantly dressed, obviously well-to-do couple walk - no, the man is definitely swaggering - into your office that they are going to be difficult to please. Still, you’re up for the challenge. You just hope you’ll be able to hear them over the yapping of the little dog in the woman’s purse. You consider asking them to please leave the dog with Karl but he already has his hands full with the two children left outside with him.
“Mr. and Mrs. Gold, it’s a pleasure to make your acquaintance. Please, sit down. Can I get you anything?”
“No, we’re fine. I’ve got other meetings today, no time for chitchat,” Garnet Gold says, rather abruptly, you think.
‘And I have a lunch date, so make this fast,” his wife, Diamond, adds in clipped tones.
“Of course. What is it you’re looking for? A mansion, perhaps? Some new property just became available.”
“No, we’re happy with the one we have. What we want is a vacation home on the water,” Garnet explained. “We want to relax away from the crowds.”
“But we need decks and space for entertaining. There must be music and a lavish garden,” Diamond adds.
“I require a gym, and an enclosed swimming pool so it can be used in all weather,” Garnet continues before you can say a word.
You make encouraging noises while typing furiously, not wanting to forget a single detail. With such exacting clients who may change their minds many times before the house is built, it’s best to hear them out and try to anticipate their needs. Fortunately, the dog quiets down so you can hear. You hope it sleeps through the rest of the meeting.
“We also need a large dining room for guests, and a media room and playroom for our children, Jett and Jade.”
“That’s definitely doable. Anything else?” You ask when they seem to have run out of words.
“Glass. I want lots of glass and big windows so I can enjoy the view,” Diamond announces.
Garnet nods. “All contemporary, of course. I prefer dark colors.”
“And what do the children like?”
“Jett would have his room decorated entirely in black if we let him,” Diamond says with a disapproving sniff. “He enjoys collecting such things as frogs and fish.”
“He does like navy, red and gray, too. Jade enjoys fashion, much like her mother, though her favorite color is green, to Diamond’s despair, “ Garnet says.
“A proper lady wears pink and does not spend her days playing video games,” Diamond says stiffly.
“I think we have everything. What is your budget?” You interject quickly, not wanting a marital spat to break out in your office. You are beginning to suspect this is not so much about a vacation home but an attempt to bring a family together.
“We own the lot, the budget is 250,000.”’
“One last question. Do you need rooms for live-in help?”
“No, this is for our family only,” Garnet replies as Diamond opens her mouth.
"All right, we should have your new vacation home ready in one month."
THE BRIEF
Budget: 250,000, excluding lot cost.
Requirements:
In addition to the usual bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen, the Golds want the following:
A large dining room. Media room Playroom Gym Enclosed pool. Doesn’t have to be inside, but must be protected from the elements. A garden with outdoor speaker(s) Multiple decks.

Sim Challenge
Create the Gold family and show them enjoying their new home. The children’s ages are entirely up to you. Note; The dog is not required, so don’t worry if you don’t have Cats and Dogs.

In addition to the master bedroom w/ attached bath, there are two children’s rooms with a shared bath. Additional rooms include: Media Room, Play Room, Bubbly Room, Home Gym, Yoga Deck, Greenhouse Garden, scenic gallery, & a large deck to party on. The property also includes a gorgeous backyard with plenty of room to play and BBQ as well as sunbathe.

BnS#138 this lovely home in Brindle Bay over looks the Bay, Open concept downstairs, 3 bedrooms 2 baths up stairs with a laundry room and media room. These lead to 2 terraces one kid centric the other for grown ups. The outdoor area downstairs sports a covered pool and entertainment areas and a lovely landscaped yard with kid activities and a lovely bonefire for the chilly nights. ENTRY DETAILS: A lovely Contemporary Home for all of your vacation needs- this lot is nestled in the hills of Willow Creek overlooking the water, just a short walking distance away. This home includes a semi open concept downstairs and plenty of space. There is a large back deck included a covered pool to protect you from all elements, fully equipped with a glass roof to allow for the sun to continue to shine in. The living room includes a large TV, computer and a game area for the family. Upstairs includes spacious rooms and bathroom areas. For the cooler days, there is a sitting area with a fireplace off of the kitchen. The kitchen and dining area include a bar, great for entertaining, or a little family fun!

ENTRY DETAILS: This family is always dressed to impress. Garnet Gold shows off his love of dark colors, Diamond Golf of her belief that “real lady” wears pink, while their daughter Jade has decidedly chosen green as her favorite color. While Jett Gold would prefer to be in all black all the time, his parents were able to convince him to branch out into navy blues, greys, and red. The family also has a high-strung, high-energy, yappy Chihuahua named Ruby who likes to ride around in Diamond’s purse. And as a “real lady” dog, she is of course wearing a pink dress.

ENTRY DETAILS: While the Gold family loves the spotlight, they love each other more. Garnet is the CEO of an architecture firm, which is why their house is magnificent. Diamond loves her children, but she has a special spot in her heart for their dog Emerald, who was Jade's 16th birthday present. Even though Diamond loves pink, she accepts her daughter's love for green. Jett wishes he didn't have to wear all the fancy clothes - he wants to play in the mud and collect frogs.

ENTRY DETAILS: This large modern home by the lake is a great place to relax with your family. Expansive views are of the natural view are abundant from every room in this house. Inside a modest modern kitchen. A large media family room.. A large dining room for entertaining that leads out to a large deck. The basements sports a pool and gym for year round fitness, and a game room for the kids. Upstairs sports the master and 2 kid rooms. a upper deck offers more views.

ENTRY DETAILS: The Gold Family wanted a vacation home by the water. This is indeed what they got. At Hounds Head in Brindleton Bay . A plot of land owned by the family. The largest property in Brindleton Bay- and it has its very own private beach . It contains three bedrooms, four bathrooms, a living/ media room , a dining room with a piano & a large kitchen. The house also has a very large indoor area with a pool.There are many Big windows & Multiple decks to enjoy the View. A playroom for the Children, really for the whole family . A gym, Sauna, and a spa room,Laundry room. A wine cellar. And an extensive Garden with a gazebo and a hot-tub. All outside wired for sound...

THE POOL ROOM HAS A LARGE MENS AND LADIES DRESSING ROOM/BATHROOM. NO CC, PAINTINGS ARE CUSTOM NO CC PAINTINGS, HASHTAGS FOR CREATORS ON THE GALLERY DESCRIPTION. SOME OF THE NO CC PAINTINGS DISAPPEARED WHEN I PUT A SIM ON THE LOT SO I RETOOK THOSE PICTURES BUT ALSO LEFT SOME WITH THE DELETED PAINTINGS TOO. I USED LIVE EDIT PLANTS IN ADDITION TO DEBUG PLANTS, I THINK IT CHANGED MY LOT COST SO THATS WHY THERES A BIG PRICE DIFFERENCE IN THE GALLERY VS TOTAL COST. THANK YOU FOR THE 24HR EXTENSION! ENTRY DETAILS: The Gold family had a beautiful piece of ocean front property in Sulani where we built a 3 story vacation home for them. This home has multiple decks with outdoor speakers scattered throughout so the family can enjoy music where ever they might be. I have given them an indoor/outdoor infinity pool with glass panel doors that can be closed off during poor weather so the family can still enjoy a nice swim. Because Garnet prefers dark colors I chose to add a lot of black to the build giving it a dark feel, but not too dark. There are many windows so the family can enjoy the beautiful ocean or garden views.

ENTRY DETAILS: The Gold Family are a wealthy family, looking to have a vacation home where they can spend some time alone together as a family, away from all the distractions and business of life. Garnet is an ambitious man. He is at the top of his career in business and works as an Angel Investor. He want's to own the biggest and nicest home, including his vacation home. Fitness is very important to him and he works hard to make everything perfect, at work as well as with his family. Diamond loves to party as well as throw lavish parties. She is a smooth talker but It's all about status with her, she tends to be a bit of a snob. She loves her music and her dog. Jett loves to spend time outdoors and he is very playful. Jade has just became a teenager. She is a hopeless romantic and loves to flirt with all the boys. Dancing is her favorite activity she could dance all day given the opportunhttps://imgur.com/a/hO1FZQeity. They also have a dog Penny. He is a friendly dog, but does enjoy barking and tends to be a little jumpy. He is Diamond's dog. Unfortunately for him, Diamond loves to dress him up in pretty clothes. He is her companion though, and doesn't seem to mind.

ENTRY DETAILS: A lovely Contemporary Home for all of your vacation needs- this lot is nestled in the hills of Willow Creek overlooking the water, just a short walking distance away. This home includes a semi open concept downstairs and plenty of space. There is a large back deck included a covered pool to protect you from all elements, fully equipped with a glass roof to allow for the sun to continue to shine in. The living room includes a large TV, computer and a game area for the family. Upstairs includes spacious rooms and bathroom areas. For the cooler days, there is a sitting area with a fireplace off of the kitchen. The kitchen and dining area include a bar, great for entertaining, or a little family fun!

ENTRY DETAILS: This family is always dressed to impress. Garnet Gold shows off his love of dark colors, Diamond Golf of her belief that “real lady” wears pink, while their daughter Jade has decidedly chosen green as her favorite color. While Jett Gold would prefer to be in all black all the time, his parents were able to convince him to branch out into navy blues, greys, and red. The family also has a high-strung, high-energy, yappy Chihuahua named Ruby who likes to ride around in Diamond’s purse. And as a “real lady” dog, she is of course wearing a pink dress.

ENTRY DETAILS: While the Gold family loves the spotlight, they love each other more. Garnet is the CEO of an architecture firm, which is why their house is magnificent. Diamond loves her children, but she has a special spot in her heart for their dog Emerald, who was Jade's 16th birthday present. Even though Diamond loves pink, she accepts her daughter's love for green. Jett wishes he didn't have to wear all the fancy clothes - he wants to play in the mud and collect frogs.

Inside a modest modern kitchen. A large media family room.. A large dining room for entertaining that leads out to a large deck. The basements sports a pool and gym for year round fitness, and a game room for the kids. Upstairs sports the master and 2 kid rooms. a upper deck offers more views.

ENTRY DETAILS: The Gold Family wanted a vacation home by the water. This is indeed what they got. At Hounds Head in Brindleton Bay . A plot of land owned by the family. The largest property in Brindleton Bay- and it has its very own private beach . It contains three bedrooms, four bathrooms, a living/ media room , a dining room with a piano & a large kitchen. The house also has a very large indoor area with a pool.There are many Big windows & Multiple decks to enjoy the View. A playroom for the Children, really for the whole family . A gym, Sauna, and a spa room,Laundry room. A wine cellar. And an extensive Garden with a gazebo and a hot-tub. All outside wired for sound...

ENTRY DETAILS: This contemporary two-story house sits apart from its neighbors and high enough to give impressive views all around. The living areas are built around the covered pool, with most first floor rooms having direct access to it. Lush gardens surround the property, leaving a space on one side for the family to entertain themselves outdoors. The house features multiple decks as well as a playroom upstairs. ENTRY DETAILS: DARK DETAILS WITH SMALL YELLOW POPS. THE WIFE WON WITH THE BEDROOM THEME AND GOT SOME PINK DETAILS. MASTER AND TEEN ROOM HAVE LARGE CLOSET AREAS. THE POOL ROOM HAS A LARGE MENS AND LADIES DRESSING ROOM/BATHROOM. NO CC, PAINTINGS ARE CUSTOM NO CC PAINTINGS, HASHTAGS FOR CREATORS ON THE GALLERY DESCRIPTION. SOME OF THE NO CC PAINTINGS DISAPPEARED WHEN I PUT A SIM ON THE LOT SO I RETOOK THOSE PICTURES BUT ALSO LEFT SOME WITH THE DELETED PAINTINGS TOO. I USED LIVE EDIT PLANTS IN ADDITION TO DEBUG PLANTS, I THINK IT CHANGED MY LOT COST SO THATS WHY THERES A BIG PRICE DIFFERENCE IN THE GALLERY VS TOTAL COST. THANK YOU FOR THE 24HR EXTENSION! ENTRY DETAILS: The Gold family had a beautiful piece of ocean front property in Sulani where we built a 3 story vacation home for them. This home has multiple decks with outdoor speakers scattered throughout so the family can enjoy music where ever they might be. I have given them an indoor/outdoor infinity pool with glass panel doors that can be closed off during poor weather so the family can still enjoy a nice swim. Because Garnet prefers dark colors I chose to add a lot of black to the build giving it a dark feel, but not too dark. There are many windows so the family can enjoy the beautiful ocean or garden views.

ENTRY DETAILS: The Gold Family are a wealthy family, looking to have a vacation home where they can spend some time alone together as a family, away from all the distractions and business of life. Garnet is an ambitious man. He is at the top of his career in business and works as an Angel Investor. He want's to own the biggest and nicest home, including his vacation home. Fitness is very important to him and he works hard to make everything perfect, at work as well as with his family. Diamond loves to party as well as throw lavish parties. She is a smooth talker but It's all about status with her, she tends to be a bit of a snob. She loves her music and her dog. Jett loves to spend time outdoors and he is very playful. Jade has just became a teenager. She is a hopeless romantic and loves to flirt with all the boys. Dancing is her favorite activity she could dance all day given the opportunhttps://imgur.com/a/hO1FZQeity. They also have a dog Penny. He is a friendly dog, but does enjoy barking and tends to be a little jumpy. He is Diamond's dog. Unfortunately for him, Diamond loves to dress him up in pretty clothes.
