#BnS140 - A Fresh Start
The deadline for this challenge is 31 August 2020
You look up curiously from the doodle you were working on, a possible plan you hope to have the chance to build for a client someday, in time to greet the man who has just entered. His clothing is colorful, but not loud, and he carries a small brown and white dog in his arms.
“Hello, Mr. Downey, please come in and sit down.”
“Hello. I hope you don’t mind that I brought Nefertari with me, she gets anxious when I leave her.” He steps into the room and sits, letting the puppy curl up on his lap, one hand automatically stroking her back.
“Not at all. What are you looking for?”
“A fresh start,” he answers honestly. “I moved here to get away from my old life and start over where no one knows me. I have some money saved up from my old job as a vet, and thought the best way to get a place suited for both myself and Nefertari would be to have one built.”
You nod. “I would like to help. What did you have in mind?”
“I don’t ask much, the basics of course, at least one bedroom with space to expand if I ever have the family I long for, a library and a small kitchen.
“Okay, and do you have any color preferences?” You ask next, though you already have an idea what he will say given his style of dress and the trace of an island accent in his speech.
Stephan Downey looks away for a moment, out the window, before he replies. “I would like bright colors, natural wood and big windows. Near water if possible.”
“I understand. I think we can manage that. What’s your budget?”
“I’ve set aside $125,000 for the house and land, will that be enough?”
“Yes, that should be plenty.”

ENTRY DETAILS: The construction is island-inspired, while the furnishings are more modern. Plenty of windows provide fresh air and views of the surrounding ocean. The second bedroom is currently a basic guest room/storage space, but is easily large enough to be converted into a room for one or two children.

A lovely 2 bedroom 2 bath beach house with all the things one finds at the beach, sun sand a surf. Dog friendly and a wonderful place just to hang out and relax. No CC was used. Move objects, show hidden and testing cheat were used.

ENTRY DETAILS: A nice home by the beach with an open concept, an library on the 2e floor with a nice view on the water in every room. The colors reflect the tranquility with the ocean and a little brightness also but not too bright. There is also stuff for the dog so that he can enjoy his fresh start as well.

ENTRY DETAILS: I based all the color schemes of the house off of a few of Stephan's outfits. I also kept his
personality in mind while building (adding lots of books, and a few spots for his dog to relax and exercise).
I also added the walkway on the side of the house to almost blend in with the rest of the island and to add
something new and festive with the lights and all the greenery.

This beautiful home is deceptively simple looking.. However it is not as simple. It's boxy shape hides truly magnificent design and technology, allowing for maximum enjoyment of the natural world around it. the glass and steel/wood structure allows for maximum views of the island, while providing structural support, and blending into the environment. In built blinds allow for privacy if needed. The walls can lift to create an open indoor outdoor living space. Custom laid floors and bright colors take into consideration the needs of our client.

ENTRY DETAILS: This is a gorgeous beach bungalow, with room to expand into a top floor if ever required. Large windows take in the beautiful views, with water all round and sumptuous soft sand just begging to have your toes buried in. Bright colours and natural wood feature throughout the property and all mod cons are included. It's the perfect paradise and, of course, very dog friendly!

ENTRY DETAILS: Surrounded on one side by a wooded area . On the other side by a beautiful coast line. We picked the perfect location for Stephan Downey's new home . At Pier Palace in Windenburg..We gave Stephen enough space for his dog & future family. Included are the basics , not 1, but 2 bed rooms with en-suite baths. A library, a small kitchen, and dining area. There is Plenty of room for Stephan & Nefertari here and then some . Created with bright colors, natural wood and big windows. ENTRY DETAILS: A fun and vibrant study, reflecting a love for animals. I chose to make the reading chairs the focus of the room, while still having a small desk space for computer use. The large bookshelf has plenty of room for textbooks, and there's also the polar bear bookends for lighter material. The white and neon colors pop against the more traditional dark wood paneling and floors.

ENTRY DETAILS: I tried to make the decor seem hodge, podge stuff you would find at a second hand store but still somewhat nice. It seemed to me that a teacher this old would have acquired a lot of odds and ends (junk) so I included a junk shed for all his worldly items. The Library study has the appearance of a sunroom, providing plenty of light to see all the nerdy stuff decorating the custom shelves. I would normally enter at a level below but since I did the fancy loft with roof windows I decided to step up a level for this one. I left the loft looking as an extra bedroom where some more “educational” things have also been stored plus an art easel to take advantage of the attic view.

ENTRY DETAILS: I chose to build Stephan a traditional island home in Sulani. Using lots of bright colors and decorating the home with many sculptures and artwork made by the locals. The home has ample deck space for entertaining and enjoying the water views, a large library and study area as well as a guest suite on the second level.

ENTRY DETAILS: My Cozy Panglao is a modern tropical home with clean exteriors and natural wood finishes. I chose to place this home a bit further away from the beachfront so that the view from the windows will have ample foreground. The ceiling is higher than most normal homes to give a sense of spaciousness. The bright colors in the interior complement the wood without being too obnoxious. This home is meant to give a relaxing atmosphere, and the big windows from the master's bedroom, library, kitchen, and even the ensuite anteroom provide a good view of the open sea. This house is also meant to be a part of the My Cozy series, which is a collection of modern tropical homes taking inspiration from Filipino and Japanese aesthetics. (Trivia: Panglao Island is a popular resort island in the Philippines.)

ENTRY DETAILS: A nice home by the beach with an open concept, an library on the 2e floor with a nice view on the water in every room. The colors reflect the tranquility with the ocean and a little brightness also but not too bright. There is also stuff for the dog so that he can enjoy his fresh start as well.

ENTRY DETAILS: I based all the color schemes of the house off of a few of Stephan's outfits. I also kept his
personality in mind while building (adding lots of books, and a few spots for his dog to relax and exercise).
I also added the walkway on the side of the house to almost blend in with the rest of the island and to add
something new and festive with the lights and all the greenery.

This beautiful home is deceptively simple looking.. However it is not as simple. It's boxy shape hides truly magnificent design and technology, allowing for maximum enjoyment of the natural world around it. the glass and steel/wood structure allows for maximum views of the island, while providing structural support, and blending into the environment. In built blinds allow for privacy if needed. The walls can lift to create an open indoor outdoor living space. Custom laid floors and bright colors take into consideration the needs of our client.

ENTRY DETAILS: This is a gorgeous beach bungalow, with room to expand into a top floor if ever required. Large windows take in the beautiful views, with water all round and sumptuous soft sand just begging to have your toes buried in. ENTRY DETAILS: Surrounded on one side by a wooded area . On the other side by a beautiful coast line. We picked the perfect location for Stephan Downey's new home . At Pier Palace in Windenburg..We gave Stephen enough space for his dog & future family. Included are the basics , not 1, but 2 bed rooms with en-suite baths. A library, a small kitchen, and dining area. There is Plenty of room for Stephan & Nefertari here and then some . Created with bright colors, natural wood and big windows. ENTRY DETAILS: A fun and vibrant study, reflecting a love for animals. I chose to make the reading chairs the focus of the room, while still having a small desk space for computer use. The large bookshelf has plenty of room for textbooks, and there's also the polar bear bookends for lighter material. The white and neon colors pop against the more traditional dark wood paneling and floors.

ENTRY DETAILS: I tried to make the decor seem hodge, podge stuff you would find at a second hand store but still somewhat nice. It seemed to me that a teacher this old would have acquired a lot of odds and ends (junk) so I included a junk shed for all his worldly items. The Library study has the appearance of a sunroom, providing plenty of light to see all the nerdy stuff decorating the custom shelves. I would normally enter at a level below but since I did the fancy loft with roof windows I decided to step up a level for this one. I left the loft looking as an extra bedroom where some more “educational” things have also been stored plus an art easel to take advantage of the attic view.

ENTRY DETAILS: I chose to build Stephan a traditional island home in Sulani. Using lots of bright colors and decorating the home with many sculptures and artwork made by the locals. The home has ample deck space for entertaining and enjoying the water views, a large library and study area as well as a guest suite on the second level.

ENTRY DETAILS: My Cozy Panglao is a modern tropical home with clean exteriors and natural wood finishes. I chose to place this home a bit further away from the beachfront so that the view from the windows will have ample foreground. The ceiling is higher than most normal homes to give a sense of spaciousness. The bright colors in the interior complement the wood without being too obnoxious. This home is meant to give a relaxing atmosphere, and the big windows from the master's bedroom, library, kitchen, and even the ensuite anteroom provide a good view of the open sea. This house is also meant to be a part of the My Cozy series, which is a collection of modern tropical homes taking inspiration from Filipino and Japanese aesthetics. (Trivia: Panglao Island is a popular resort island in the Philippines.)
