I'm still having trouble understanding how property values are calculated. I just made major renovations to my lot. I checked values on the Mansion Baron page before I started. Value was 30,644/350,000. Windows = 7/30. Columns = 0/20. Artwork = 1/15.
I proceeded to spend nearly 10,000 building out the lot a bit. First, I built a detached storage room. I replaced all the bathroom fixtures in the main house and placed the old bathroom fixtures in the storage room. I took all the artwork from the main house and placed it in storage. I purchased additional lighting for storage and 3 windows to see if the window count would be updated. I purchased one column, just for yucks.
None of this has made a lick of difference on my property values as calculated on the Mansion Baron page. It still reads 30,644/350,000 value, 7/30 windows, 0/20 columns and 1/15 pieces of artwork (that goofy stature I purchased).
Do I have to have Mansion Baron as my active Aspiration for these things to be recognized? Or is my game borked? I tried attaching the detached storage room to the main house. No change. I don't understand why some things are counted (windows, for example, even though the number is now incorrect), yet other things are ignored (columns, for example). I've tried looking at it with the game paused and with it active (thinking perhaps the game needed time to update data). No matter how I view it, the results are the same.
I understand the rules state that I may not change Aspirations until one is complete or impossible to complete. However, given my dilemma, may I have permission to test things out by switching to Fortune/Mansion Baron for a bit to see if these renovations will update?
Thanks for considering my situation.
