As far as adding a baby couldn't you do a one time leave the lot and adopt? I believe you have to go and get the baby/child then come right back to the lot. Plus you would have no outside socials. :) Just a thought. I am not getting one myself this go around but may on my next run!! :p
PS This route will cost you $1000 hard earned dollars though. (I think that's what it costs)
