So, I started thinking up new challenge ideas. And I've got another one in mind, but I'm trying it out first, and working out the kinks. I don't have a name for it yet, but I almost think that "Labyrinth Challenge" sounds appropriate.
Before I make a topic for it, in the correct section this time XD, I wanted to run it by you guys and see what you think.
The way it works is that the for the entire challenge, you're building 4 x 4 rooms, and the challenge is completed when the entire lot is filled with them. Having jobs and going out on the town is fine in this one, but you can't have more than one Sim in your main household.
As you start the challenge, you are allowed five rows of tiles at the front of the lot to spare, and serve as a garden/porch/etc. Past that on the far left (or right) you have your 4 x 4 starter room. Once you have a certain number of items in that room, and fulfill a prerequisite, like maxing a skill, getting promoted at work, or completing an aspiration tier, you are allowed to build another room directly adjacent to the current one, that is also 4 x 4.
The challenge ends when you complete the final room, and have no more space to build.
Some things I played around with, is that each 4 x 4 room can also be merged with any other 4 x 4 room, to make 4 x 8, or 8 x 8, or 12 x 4 etc. And with different lot sizes, there are options for different level of challenge. Stairs and second floors can be used as long as the additional space they add are something you've earned.
