Luckily no they don't follow you lol. I wonder if he gets angry if you call him names too many times. (I renamed mine Clarence because it goes better with my Danielle. Based her and her bear after characters, just gender swapped them. Hence why he's a he.)
I don't think the bear is the greatest for social though. I know from my first go with the challenge that the plants are actually really good for social.
Edit: Turns out the bear can get sad as well. Emotions!
