Time is fleeting. The Counselor knew that Sims age and pass away, unlike Time Lords who persist through regeneration, Watching his partner grow older and older was a heartache. He could simply leave him, return Imran to his family, and run away from the pain of losing someone he cared for. But that would be cruel. And The Counselor was anything but cruel.
The Counselor: "Imran, where do you want to go? Anywhere? At any time?"
Imran: "Well, I've always wanted to go back in time and be at the beach, when it was pristine and free of microplastics."
The Counselor: "Alright then. The beach at 1800s. Or maybe way way back?"
