The Counselor returned Imran to his birthplace. The Watsons mourned, and The Counselor consoled them with stories of their adventures, of dreams fulfilled, and of renewed hope of what's to come. It did little to comfort them.
And so The Counselor traveled through space and time, once more. Alone. No adventures. Just aimlessly wandering the galaxy and universe, processing his loss. How many days, weeks, years or decades has he spent grieving? He didn't know, until it was finally his time.
His skin began to glow. Regeneration was about to happen. But it was different this time. Usually regeneration invigorated him with the surge of "time elixir" that pumped inside his body. Nothing surged within him but pain.
The Counselor: Reaper, my old friend, are you here with me?
There was no answer. As his body started to radiate, so did his memories of this incarnation. All the joys and pain. All the hate and love.
At his final breath, all he could do was smile and say, "Counselor, whoever I will be... Tag, you're it."
