With this new regeneration, past knowledge had become murky. What were easy tasks, were now a head-scratcher. Repairing things around the TARDIS became a challenge. Cooking was completely lost for him. But looking at the bright side, it was an opportunity to grow once more.
After cleaning himself up following that disaster in the kitchen, The Counselor decided to just wander the world. He had no place and time in mind. But he had no idea what he was looking for either.
And yet, something clicked inside him as soon as he stepped out to the sparkling snow of Mt. Komorebi. He followed the footprints before him, letting them dictate what adventures lay ahead. Sure, signs posted all over the mountain could get him where he wanted to go, but he wanted chance to decide.
The hike led him to a shrine that had an ema board. He read their hopes and dreams that hung in rusted hooks. The chill in the air energized him, and the sunlight striking the snow gave him a glow, which he took as a sign. The Counselor wrote his own wish and hanged it on the board. But it wasn't written in the Simlish language. To everyone, the symbols were a bunch of circles only intelligible to Time Lords.
It said this: I hope to remain your friend, Sims.
