Not only do they Not have slow couple dancing. You sometimes are not even facing or dancing near your mate that you have just asked to dance.
To me, they try to cover how silly that looks by having random Townies come dance near the couple.
Why did they even give dance floors if you can not walk out to the dance floor as a couple and dance together?
To me the dancefloors are useless.- YES! I want slow dancing in the game!!! I used to make my sims slow dance in Sims 2 after their wedding to pretend it was their "first dance". The fact that sims can't really dance together in general just needs to change. I loved the way they danced together in Sims 3 too! It was fun. Dancing on tables was fun too and they should really bring it back. Maybe they can even incorporate different dances like salsa, mambo, bachata, merengue, rumba, tango, or samba for couples so that they have more variety when they dance. Omg and for parties they can even include a group dance like the conga line or the cha cha slide lol!

All this plus fix dancing together so when sims dance together they can face each other. - SyannaPotterNew SpectatorYes we definitely need more dances and romance interactions. I miss the slow dancing and the dance kiss from Sims 2. And the group dance the "Smustle" from Sims 2 as well.

We have the dip kiss now without the slowdance but yes I'd love to see it added as a nested interaction to the slowdance and spooning as well like we had in the TS3 Slowdance. - ayyitsmellNew Spectator

Yes please <3 .
Just wanna add here.
My idea is add more levels to dancing skill to 10. So when reach level 6 you unlock duet dancing. Dances like Slow Dance, Salsa, Ballroom, etc."misschristine14;c-16239175" wrote:

That is hilarious! Can you imagine sims doing the conga line?! LOL
I love these ideas. We definitely need more dance moves already. I really would love for them to be able to dance together, whether its slow dancing or just casually dancing together with friends or their significant others. The dance together option that we have right now just means they are in the same room dancing and talking to each other from opposite sides of the room with their backs facing towards one another. It doesn't make sense.
Maybe they can add a dancer career or maybe have a dance studio venue or in the gym. It could be similar to the yoga classes with the instructor and they can have classes like Zumba, Ballet, Hip Hop, Salsa, and more while increasing their dance skills. I also would like more contests or random events in different locations. If they include more dance types, they should add a new venue, or at least an event, where sims can have a dance contest similar to "dancing with the stars" or "so you think you can dance?". My sims can apply to the event and look forward to these days and practice routines ahead of time for them for solo or duet dances. Sims would vote for best dancer based off of the three dances that the groups will do. Maybe it can be on a stage and people can cheer, boo, or throw food. It would be something unique and fun to do. - GodleyjeansNewcomerIf there's one new animation we get in a patch, it's slowdancing! I am dying to have my sims dance in the living room in the middle of the night while everyone is asleep. It sounds odd but it was always so cute how the family would retire to bed and mum and dad would stay up a little longer to just dance together and remember why they got married to begin with.
If the gurus are watching: PLEASE ADD THIS! - catloverplayerSeasoned AceI'm really surprised we don't have the slowdance. There are so many who want it in the game. Their have been many topics on it.
- Please forgive the copy/paste but this was my comment to another thread talking about a dating pack. I feel very strongly about the potential of a ballroom dancing skill in TS4:
"I think a great skill to add to a dating pack would be a ballroom dancing skill. We already have just "dancing" but it's more like club dancing and you can't really dance romantically with anybody. The mobile app had a version of ballroom dancing that required an instructor, but I'm not sure that'd needed in TS4. I'd propose they include a ballroom dancing skill that would include things like the waltz, foxtrot, salsa, swing, etc. Technically kids and teens could learn it too, I guess, but I can imagine it building both the physical skill and possibly attraction between partners--for better or for worse. I know there's probably some stipulation against children Sims have an affection bar, but childhood crushes should be a thing, I think. And dancing together would absolutely either increase or decrease a childhood crush. Such a skill would enhance not only a dating game pack, but the Vintage Glamour, Romantic Garden, Luxury Party, Dine Out, and even the Vampire packs. Ballrooms could be a new venue for dates and you could have competitions like with the regular dancing skill--or possibly even couple's competitions if the couples dislike each other. They could also add in just a simple slow dance (suggested already by another user) that could be performed anywhere with couples dancing cheek-to-cheek in their living after the kids are asleep for instance. I'm not a programmer and thus I don't know how much effort, time, and money goes into programming a whole new skill, but I'd imagine it's a lot. I do think a full pack for romance and dating would absolutely be worth it in sales, though, especially with a new fully 10-level dancing skill. If they ever make an official school pack, then school dances could also be an event with both regular and ballroom dancing. How about wedding events? There's a ton of applications to adding a game pack with this skill." - catloverplayerSeasoned AceSomething else another reason I want slow dancing is cause of the jazz radio station in Dine Out. It's perfect for slow dancing. Also they could introduce R&B which is another good format for slowdancing.
