Stair Railings - Delete on side?

Doesn't work unfortunately. Currently, it's an all or nothing proposition with stair railings. We have requested that this be changed in the Build Mode Feedback thread.

Came here looking for an answer to the one-sided railing problem, but I just discovered the SOLUTION while experimenting. First create one staircase and place a railing on it. Then create a new staircase right next to it and place the same railing on the new set of stairs. When you delete the middle railing, it will also delete the most recent railing placed, but not the first railing. Voila, you now have a one-sided railing staircase! You can also delete the second set of stairs afterwards and the first set will remain as a one-sided railing staircase.

I'm looking for this too. I made a double staircase but when I go to put the railings on I also get railings up the middle of the stairs which looks silly.

Cnstnc680: You can drag stairs to make them wider...that way you don't get the railing in the middle. They have arrows like the room/deck tools that you can grab and drag.

This seems very complicated, but in reality it's beyond simple. It took me awhile to figure it out. Create a set of stairs like normal. Then pick/add your railings like normal. Then switch to the select tool and click the set of stairs. It will show up as a cohesive unit with sliders. The same sliders that's used to expand/collapse the house to make it smaller or bigger (the walls). Just grab it and slide it over and it will re-adjust the size of the stairs, with the railings to match it as long as you want.

I was able to fix this by making a single staircase, adding the rail so it's on both sides, then dragging the staircase out (or inwards, in my case, to my house) to make my double staircase with the railing only on the outer side, as I desired.

Any more builders who have any other advice for this? I'm struggling to get my upstairs rails to stop clipping through the staircase rails. Suggestions are so welcome.
