For those interested in the exact restrictions placed for this legacy, I'm posting them below. It's for a legacy challenge I'm in the process of creating/testing I guess.
In the wake of nuclear war, the world has been ravaged by radiation and disease and the military has stepped in, though whether they’re helping or hurting has yet to be decided. They’ve instituted strict rules of quarantine while offering no reasons or justification. Is it for the good of the citizens or are they hiding something? Either way, all citizens of age are conscripted into the military and forced to live in military quarantined areas. All other areas are restricted until the supposed “threat” has passed.
Founder can be of any gender
Must have ambitious trait
Must join military career - officer branch
Must live in strangerville and start off in trailer home
Can move out to another home when able to provided other restrictions have been lifted
Must have following lot traits: off the grid & earthquake zone
Must max out the following skills: fitness, gardening, and handiness
May only have a cooler on the lot, no fridge and may only eat one quick meal per day
Bookshelf can only contain skill books
Can only use grill if the required items for the meal are in your sims inventory. If there is no required item (fruits or veggies) the item cannot be cooked.
Can only leave home lot for work and exercising (jogging only) until they’ve reached the branching part of their career and are granted access to the town
May only travel within strangerville
Cannot invite outside sims until you reach the branching part of career
May only invite in sim to bring in the next generation
No parties/events on home lot or otherwise
Must marry/have children with fellow military member
Only the founder and their spouse (provided they’ve also reached the branching part of their career) May leave the home lot other than for school
The ground is polluted so harvestable May only be planted in planter boxes
Cannot fish - the water is polluted
All children must max the logic and fitness skills before reaching young adulthood, heir or not.
Any crafted items or harvestables must be used and not sold.
All children must have the genius trait
All children must receive As in school
For items that are able to be hand-crafted, they must be hand-crafted, not bought.
