Suburban mystery/crime GP idea

Rows of perfectly manicured lawns stretch out in front of immaculate homes surrounded by privacy fences. Its all so perfect, too perfect. But if these walls could talk you would be shocked at the secrets they are hiding...

I think it would be really interesting to bring a suburban crime pack to the sims, nosy neighbors, hidden agendas, secret super heroes, your basic cops and robbers but maybe also a serial killer in the mix.

On the exterior things look picture perfect, flower gardens, lawn care, basic swing sets, porch swings, kids playing tag...

But the ladies book club is a cover up for a money laundering scheme, Mr and Ms Smith are frauding their bills, someone has been breaking into homes, and the number of disappearances is becoming alarming...
  • A private in investigator career would be nice. Sort of. Could work like scenarios, and they give a new crime to solve every now and then. They don't even need to create stuff for it, just code in the mystery.
  • I would love a pack like this if it is similar to StrangerVille, where you have a story but can also ignore the story and just play with the world
  • Yes!! A murder mystery pack I would buy instantly, that sounds fun. What is that chalk outline of a body in San Myshuno apartment??? That murder needs to be solved already! The detective career is fun, but I would love a pack that had more drama, character and storytelling and made it possible for any Sim to get caught up in the plot and solve the clues. Something inspired by an Agatha Christie novel could be lighthearted and fun.

Perhaps there could be a crime rate associated with the neighborhoods and certain actions would increase or decrease the crime rate. It could even tie in with eco living with a higher crime level increasing the industrial foot print and a lower crime rate impacting the green foot print. With a higher crime rate you would experience more break ins, graffiti in the neighborhood, more sims with negative character traits etc. Lower crime rates could give a positive moodlet, more neighborhood parties, etc. Maybe lot prices could also fluctuate with the crime rate, and how quickly sims make gains in school and career levels.
