I was doing a pretty good job backing things up and then the darn page appeared to auto-refresh and immediately after I copied over something I copied. The timing could not have been worse.
It bugged right when I couldn't save what I Lost!
The exact moment I would lose significant progress.
I forgot to paste in word and now I lost a chunk of the text I wrote. It's getting super aggravating now. I seriously don't know if I can continue the story here like this. At some point, the auto-save needs to work and I can't keep losing so much. The old forums did not have this issue.
I will try again later. But for right now, the chapter is once again delayed until I can get my nerves under control and redo what I lost.
I learned it the hard way, but use the windows key + V. If you do that before starting to write. Your computer can at least save 25 things you copied and pasted. Because I didn't do that sooner and windows doesn't save things from the beginning, I couldn't recover anything I lost. At least now, I have things I copied saved on my clipboard.
The fact that I had to enable this feature is extremely frustrating. If it was saving things, I wouldn't have lost everything on my clipboard.
For posting in this forum, I highly recommend a document copy and turning on the save feature of the clipboard. The auto save here is extremely unreliable right now.
You can "Select All" and periodically copy everything. Probably more reliable then both the document and the web page. At least, it can be more efficient.
