Thank you so much @BreeMiles ! :) I think I'm done decorating and the lot now comes in 20 Simoleons under budget lolz, so I'm thinking Jaheem is gonna start out in a very similar situation than your sim.
Thank you so much @SoulGal7 ! :) I remember trying out an art gallery for a bit right after Get To Work was released, and I had children enter the store (in fact they bought some of my most expensive paintings  ). Maybe they changed it in an update? Haven't seen any kids indeed on my first trial run of Jaheem's store. And finally caught up with your story blog! :) You have such a great sense of humour, your blog is a joy to read! I loved how Hallie had new outfits in her store every day and awesome redesign on both stores for the wedding/romance themed Friday. B) It seems both Hank and Hallie did really well in their first week, though they did put plenty of hours in their store. Hehe, what a salesman Hank is, had to lolz out loud when I read this: "Oh that microwave is the newest technology. It’s called the Wavescatter and it will nuke your chicken nuggets faster than you can say Why did the chicken cross the road". :D
Thank you @MyInnerSim ! :) Hehe, I didn't know how to either before the garage shed idea came along. But even though you ran out of budget for decorating, still think your bakery looks amazing! B) Loved watching your first part of your Let's Play! Good to see Dexter has a natural aptitude for cooking and baking (not so much for fishing though ;) ), looking forward to the grand opening!
Oooh, Bugg's Bed & Breads looks fantastic @kethrydrake ! Love the green colours you used and dressing the mannequins in matching sleepwear outfits! <3
Thank you so much @Karababy52 ! I really like your camping supply store, as well as your sim Grant (handsome fellow B) ). Had to laugh at the (mis)adventures with the campfire lolz. And wow, amazing you were able to complete the challenge in a single week, think we have a frontrunner for most profitable business right here. B)
Thank you so much @illusie ! Really hope you join the challenge, would love the see the beautiful store you'll come up with. B)
I did have a few questions concerning the rules of the challenge @AIRIS6962 and @BreeMiles
1. I have two apple trees on my retail lot. Can I sell the the produce of these (not in the store, but in your sims inventory) and keep the money?
2. I know there's a rule where you are only allowed to transfer money between your retail and home lot on Friday, but I ran into a little problem: my sim wants to sell pictures and paintings, but the base cost for making those (you know, the 25 Simoleons for a small painting, 100 for a large one etc) is always taken out of your residence lot budget, not your retail store budget even if you make them there. That means my sim can sell pictures in his store and increase his retail store budget, but he can't make any new ones to sell because he doesn't have any money left in his residence lot budget. On top of that there's also the rule to always have a 1000 Simoleons in your retail lot budget. Now starting out with his very own pictures, he makes 2 Simoleons per item sold after restocking it haha! So that would mean he'd have to sell over 500 of them to be able to transfer any money over that 1000 to his home lot budget? Oh boy, I think I just figured out the least profitable store ever! Or are you allowed to transfer money if it's only used to create new artwork that will be future sales items? Not using the money to build anything on the residence lot you see, but to produce new sales objects for the retail store.
