I know the Breads of Bugg's Beds and Breads isn't very profitable. I've switched primarily to selling Beds, Sleepwear and Bedroom Sets. Storywise, the bakery fills the air with wonderful aroma of baking bread, encouraging people to buy. At least they say to do that when trying to sell your house...might work.
@Corwim: I randomly rolled for Fred's favorite color. It came up green. Also, green is a calming color and pastel shades are also calming. Perfect for a sleep store! I put out the mannequins because I thought the space in the middle looked a little empty. Haven't run that save since the remodel so who knows how well they'll do. The expansion was funded entirely from his last weeks worth of profit. $16,000+. He bought a house in Windenburg for just under $17,000, so now he no longer has to commute to get to work. (Not that he actually does, but his store is on the Windenburg island and his first home lot was in Newcrest.)
