I played ahead, lol
Came up with a couple of variations/twists that I am using and thought others might be interested too.
Price Markup:
On Sunday, use a randomizer to determine the % markup. This amount will be used for the entire week.
Continue to use randomizer to determine if store is open or closed on Thursdays.
Pet Adoption Center:
Use one or both of the following Lot Traits: Cat Hangout, Dog Hangout.
Once your Sim becomes friends with a stray animal, the animal can then be adopted.
Example: Pete will adopt one cat to rehabilitate before it can be adopted out.
He will care for the animal and if ill, take it to the vet clinic.
As he gets more skillful in caring for animals (training skill) then he can adopt more animals.
One day each week will be Adoption Day. Player picks which day it is.
Adopt out the animals and add the following funds to your money.
$100 if pet isn't trained to use litter box or go outside.
$150 if trained to go potty but no further training.
$200 if trained in at least one additional thing, like not drinking puddles or sitting on counter.
I will try moving pets via Household Management so hopefully they will stay IN game.
