Mira has taken a regular job as a dishwasher, which she hates - but she realizes she needs to make more money for the baby. So when she's not at work, she goes out into the city a lot to busk for tips.

She's happy to still have her friend Micaela across the hall, they hang out whenever they are both available.
And so Mira's belly is growing...

She has another neighbor, Dean, who is also very helpful and sociable.

He's a little younger than Mira, very goofy and almost annoying in his many spontaneous visits, but Mira really enjoys his company. He seems to be one of the few people she meets these days who doesn't judge her for being a young, single mom.
