The Will Of The Goddess - An Amazon Tale - UPDATED 4/11/19]

Hi folks! I've read a lot of great Amazon stories on this site, and love the idea of the challenge. I'm a huge mythology/history geek, and am majoring in Anthropology with an emphasis in Archeology, and minoring in Classics ... so one might say this kind of challenge is the kind of challenge I really really would like.

I actually had a story going, but Latin got in the way, and I got so tired of translating texts of Cicero talking about himself (seriously, dude had an ego the size of Italy) that I sort of got caught up in school and lost my train of thought and plotting. So sorry to anyone who was reading the story and liking it, because I just can't go that way anymore.

The good news though is ... I got a different desire for writing Classic style stuff, and a different plot idea, and I'm doing a reboot. I've got a new character arc, and there might be hints of Kelaeno's exploits along the way so while Lady Kel might be gone from the writing, it's not like she's gone-gone.

    And ... I just got a new computer that'll be able to handle the Sims 4 even better (yaaaaay!!) so it'll probably be a couple of days before Chapter 3 goes up.

    Your studies into ancient cultures definitely peek through a lot, and I'm kind of obsessed ok, so, you know post more, or somethin' :mrgreen:
    I love this young, untried woman, and I love that she isn't immediately jumping all over all the slaves to have a million babies and then The Angst over having to sacrifice them, and I love that Audax and Heraklitas aren't just living furniture <3

    Also, the immersion level setting on this one is ULTRA (love that too!); can't wait to see where life takes young miss Kelaeno :D

    What. Living furniture is great, what do you have against it? Who wouldn't want their most sublime goal in life to be being decorative? :p
    But I agree, we are starving from lack of fantasy reading stuff here!

    I juuuuuuuuust finished the final for my Archeology of Egypt class, and the next session I'm taking involves reading which I can do super naturally (like totes reading Frank N. Stein for class), so I'll have more time fo' sure for writing up more adventuresome Amazonian awesomeness.

    But first, I have a horse show this weekend. o:)

    Thanks! I haven’t shown since before I got my Haflinger, and I’ve had him for years now.

    But a barn mate asked me to haul her horse for her to the dressage show, and I figured heck, why not just do the intro level tests with my pony.

    Happy "Celebrate the Guy who Supposedly Drove All The Snakes Out Of Ireland Day" (but since I'm kind of on the side of the Druids on that one, I'm not sure if I can be all rah-rah about St. Pat even if I'm half Irish)

    Imagine being all alone in the world with that huge responsibility!
