@Daravi Now I've started reading your Kaufmann family legacy too, and it's incredibly interesting. I love how you incorporated laws into your gameplay in a way that I haven't. It leaves me a lot to think about if I ever were to start a German version (as a Swede who do not speak German I'm sort of limited to Swedish and English-speaking sources which as you said makes it limiting in terms of the finer detail of laws. The US is simpler, as I can just find the American laws and read them without any issues.)
I really like how you have dealt with the war, and realise that if I ever want European gameplay during WW2 I need to buy Batuu before I get that far (I wish I had known that now that there was a sale). Those flags are very on point. In fact, @flauschtrud I agree with you that those flags are in many ways more sensitive than a name of a certain politician or party. In my current save, I'm still leaning of using Tomarang, Sulani and Mt Komorebi for a more pacific view of the war as I've used Europe already, but it's till too early to tell as I don't know who in my family will be affected yet. (The newly born Harrison most likely, he'll be 22 in 1941, Austen perhaps, he'll be 26. Harold, maybe, at 28. The rest will be over 30, and less likely to be picked for that reason.)
Actually, with that many boys in their twenties, including any boys that might be born in the next two to four years, I might just need to send them to both fronts. It's unlikely they'd all go to the same place. Food for thought. But either way, I'm really pleased I started reading the Kaufmann story. Its very interesting to follow.
