@Daravi If I ever do start a Windenburg-set version of the decades challenge, I hope you won't mind me asking a ton of questions then if I fail to find things out. I am very impressed with the level of detail in your story.
As for the war and the many boys, I do realise that there are many ways this could go, it just took me by surprise yesterday when I started looking at how many they were that would be in their 20s at that time, as when it came to WW1 I didn't have anyone who was affected by the draft at all. It was quite the contrast. When I get there, I'll see their personalities and what fits them. By then I'll also have read up on the draft laws in the 1940s. I don't know that one as well as the WW1 version yet. Thankfully US laws from that era are fairly easy to come by :)
