Tomarang as an example for World Packs

I know I and several other people have pitched the idea of World Packs. I think the latest World, Tomarang is a good example of what I would like a world pack world to be.
Size wise, I would prefer more neighborhoods and lots but if the price point were on the lower end, like$15 versus $20/$25 then I could live with the size.
The culture representation, the experiences, the CAS are all great examples of what I would like to see in a world pack. I don't think we would need as much bb but more is always more.
I like that it is a destination that we don't have. I like that it could work for residential or vacations.
If the sims team were to put out world packs I think this is a great example of what I would like for them to be. I understand this is an expansion pack, but if you take away everything not specific to the world itself, what you are left with is what I think a world pack should be.
Opinions?

While I won't go so far as to say I don't want more Asian inspired worlds, I do agree that other parts of the world are seriously under represented.

There are so many parts of Africa that could be great inspiration for a world.
  • I like the idea. It would allow expansions to focus more on general gameplay if they didn't have to tie the gameplay to a specific culture/world.
  • I like that they add some elements of local culture and aesthetics, it makes the worlds more believable and immersive. I appreciate that they gave us a Tuktuk for Tomarang, but it's not functional. I would have appreciated more a low priced bike, motorbike and some boat that looked appropriate for the region it's inspired by. If they release world packs, I don't expect them to tie them to some great new gameplay mechanic, but would love if they offered specific foods, harvestables, collectibles, a craftable of some sort, some holiday traditions, a local custom or two, maybe even an alternative way of doing something, like they did with the squat toilet. Maybe spear fishing instead of line fishing. Hammocks instead of beds. Eating with your hand. Climb coconut trees or a swing tied to a coconut tree. They could add maybe new collectibles for previous collections that make sense in this new world, like new bird feathers or new shells, or new fish in the sea.
  • I agree also I'm a be honest I'm tired of seeing Asian inspired culture we have Snowy Escape and Tomarang and even City Living has like an Asian culture and My Wedding Stories, I would like to see other cultures like African, especially the clothing like a Dashiki, and the crusine, the build and buy also more south Americans like the clothing. And European.

It's not that I don't want it it's just like I would love more other cultural showed into the game.
  • I think an African pack would fit right into the series but I think that should be a full pack. Generally I've agreed with you that world packs could work as a concept. I think they just tend to pair the worlds with other content which is fine too but it's not a bad idea.

I understand and agree. I'm happy that we have some Asian representation and would like some other places to also be included.

I would love a pack totally focused on Africa. There are so many different landscapes and cultures, if they did it correctly it could be an amazing pack.
