Triggered Emotions

I would like to see more emotional triggers in TS4. Sims should have triggered emotions based on personality type. For example a gloomy trait son gets sad from negative interactions like arguing. There only seems to be a triggered emotion of anger for interactions and sadness from major events like death. I feel sims being triggerd by interpersonal situatons will bring a bit more realism to the game
What do you think?
  • Yes, I definitely think so too. The way they react to thinks now seem too unrealistic too me and it can definitely be improved
  • There is a little bit of this with sentiments, but it could definitely be better. I'd personally like more of this flavor, but I don't think it will be as popular in practice as you might think.

All the complaints about things like parents being upset with children, etc. through the sentiment system is evidence of that. It never bothered me because you cannot tell me you have had 100% positive feelings about all of your relatives every moment of your life. People get upset, it's fine. You can not like someone as a person and still love this person as family.
  • Yeah especially now. Both my teens parents hate her yet she has no regrets and does not harbor any emotions besides anger

That would be nice to have in game  I'd like to see more trait related emotions and reactions for sure.
