Two new builds: a Colosseum and a mosque!

Hi everyone,

I figured I'd use this as a showcase thread for builds I want to share, rather than spamming new posts each time.

I've just uploaded two new builds: a Colosseum and a mosque. I hope you like them! See here for screenshots.

Original post:

Hi everyone,

This is my first post in a very long time—since The Sims 3 days, in fact. I wanted to share a lot I built almost two years ago (though I only just uploaded it). It's a big one, and one that uses objects in pretty unexpected ways. With all my builds, there is no CC, nor mods used.

This is St. Agnes' Cathedral!

I drew inspiration primarily from Westminster Abbey, York Minster, and Notre Dame. And the name is of course inspired by Agnes Crumplebottom of Henford-on-Bagley, the world in which I built the lot.

I think this build will complement Royalty and Legacy gameplay well; an apt addition to your kingdoms! But note that, because I built this so long ago, the packs used are relatively old, so Royalty and Legacy isn't required.

I guess this discussion could become a showcase of some of my lots that I have built/will build in the future. I have so many ideas and always try to use objects in creative ways, so I'd love to keep sharing more.

If you download it, let me know what you think of it. I think it's a great build to admire, if not to visit.

I hope you enjoy it!

  • St. Agnes’ Cathedral is very lovely! ❤️The architectural exterior design, towers and roofing are very grand!  The windows are very nice. The gazebo is lovely. The interior furnishing and design with the long aisle with seating either sides is very nice and lovely altar area. Very elegant patterned roofing.

    Hi everyone,

I've got two new builds to share: a Colosseum and a mosque! Keeping in theme with the cathedral I built, they're big and largely unnecessary for gameplay... but they were still very fun to build.

    This is my Colosseum.

It's inspired by the one you're thinking of, but not intended as a direct recreation. While it might look fairly simple at first glance (after all, it's mostly just columns and arches), getting the curvature of the amphitheatre right meant using curved walls in some very creative, very tedious ways.

    And this is Dambele Mosque.

This build takes loose inspiration from the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, particularly in its crisp white exterior, gold accents, and overall symmetry. I do think it would benefit from being on a 64x64 lot rather than the 50x50 it's currently on, but alas that doesn't exist in Dambele.

    Til next time!

Both the Colosseum and the Dambele Mosque are very great builds! 🙂The architecture is very lovely and very detailed! They both look very grand! The curved walls of the colosseum are great, and the corner towers and dome roofing of the mosque are very lovely. They are both very creatively built!
