I agree. What we have (present life stages) could definitely be enhanced upon. Although, I really wish the developers would consider giving us the option of having elders that do not present so elder-like, such as that slumped over elder walk. Heck, my RL grand-mom is in her eighties and is as jazzy as an elder can be, and does not slump over, or stand/walk with a hump. - > @Aesir26 said:

True! - Please add the child life stage to Sims Freeplay. The toddler to preteen jump is so awkward. Plus, a child can be more like 6 to 8 year olds and no where near touching the shoulder of a preteen. I see preteens as 11-13 year olds and toddlers as 2-4 years old.
- And also adding young adults (18-22 years old) and a university update would be neat
- EgonVMSeasoned AcePreteens are actually children, but the life stage has been renamed, just like elders to seniors.
+Preteens look lot like children, so no.
Children usually go to elementary school, while preteens should usually go to middle school, but in The Sims Freeplay, preteens there go to the elementary school. Now this sounds like an apple is named orange. "EgonVM;c-16121880" wrote:

Actually, preteens to me are older versions of a child but the toddler and preteen gap is so strange.i see preteen as 11-13, as I said children can be more like 7-8 years old. But this is my opinion- In real life toddlers are 12 to 36 months old. So we are missing more age groups in the games:
Preschoolers who are 3-6 years old.
Children who are 7-9 years old.
Preteens who are 10-12 years old (13-19 years olds are teens).
But the problem is that it costs EA money to make so many age groups (with different heights and thus also different interactions). So it wouldn’t make sense unless they also had different abilities. To differ between preschoolers and children wouldn’t make sense and be worth it if their only difference would be that children can go to school. In the same way it wouldn’t be worth it to differ between children and preteens if the only difference would be their different heights. So while I agree that the preteens in this game only are renamed children I also understand why EA has done it this way.
Young adults were introduced in TS2 as a new age group for university students. But without the university what should the difference between young adults and normal adults then be? - I think it would be interesting to have a life stage between toddler and child. This type of life stage is slightly older than a toddler but slightly younger than a toddler. They should act and look and act like 5 year olds or 6 year olds. What name should this life stage be? Preschooler? Good idea.
Preschoolers are taller than toddlers but shorter than children. Unlike toddlers, their legs are half the length of their body. Preschoolers are slimer with longer arms and legs. They do have the pudgy, youthful, and cute faces!
Preschoolers, I got some ideas. These children either go to preschool. They have mixed interactions from toddler and children.
Examples
-Be picked up and carried (toddler style) by older Sims
-Play with or on toddler/child objects
-Sleep in toddler beds or adult sized beds
-Interact with TVs and computers
-Learn to write and do math (1+1, 2-1 that sort of things)
-Can eat at table (not high chair), drink out of regular cups (not sippy cups), and use the big potty (not diapers or potty training toliet)
