Ultimate Decades Challenge - Day 32 - Year 1307 - Updated Nov. 17
Hello! Follow along with me as I play Morbid's Ultimate Decades Challenge! The challenge begins in the year 1300 and goes all the way through history to the present day.
We will follow Thomas Farvale, 16, living with his parents, Caitlin and Edward Farvale. He has two older sisters. Anna (20) and Elizabeth (18) who are both married.

I have updated Henford-on-Bagley to look medieval, as well as a few other worlds. I used a combination of some builds from DivanTheSimmer's Medieval Save and SnarkyWitch's Medieval Henford-on-Bagley. I also am using quite a few mods, but that's totally not necessary in order to do this challenge. :)

Thomas woke the next morning and gazed at the tapestry behind his bed. It was his mothers and the only piece of art they had in the house. Thomas loved it. It was his dream to one day be an artist. They had an old easel, but no canvases and no paint. Thomas wanted to work hard on the farm so that he could get enough money to buy some paints. He knew that if he could just become a great painter, he'd be able to make enough money and make his family proud.

His father had returned from hunting and met him in town along with Elizabeth's husband, John. The three of them chatted for a bit. Thomas was smiling later as he warmed himself by the fire, Kimberly still on his mind. His mother smiled softly and joined him. "Did something happen in town?" she asked him. https://i.ibb.co/cXws1bN/10-17-23-9-22-09-PM.png
"Oh, no..." he answered, "it's nothing. I bought some seeds for the garden."
His mother just smiled knowingly. Mothers always had a way of knowing. "I see...well you had better go plant them then."

At the Harper's farm, Elizabeth was tending to their new cow. She hadn't thought of a name for her yet, but as she thought of names for the cow, her mind was suddenly overtaken with what she would name their child if her and John had one. "No...no, I think it's...I'm sorry, excuse me, Richard!" And she ran for the toilet.

Kimberly is a cute sim, and Thomas has his first crush. How cute :) They are both creative. I love the conversation with his mother...lol...she knows! hehe Maybe his mother will give him a little push to become better acquainted with Kimberly. And Thomas' sister, Anna is expecting. That's so great. So glad that Thomas had better luck fishing in town and was able to purchase some seeds. Great chapter. :)
Great update! All of the characters' clothes and homes are so well done! I especially like their kitchen. I hope Thomas gets to spend more time with Kimberly, and that he gets to paint. Hopefully Elizabeth and John are able to have a baby. Congratulations to Anna and Richard also!
Thomas was up early to tend his garden. He wanted to get done with his chores quickly so that he could get to town and perhaps see Kimberly there again… It was raining on and off, but Thomas didn’t mind. He really liked gardening and he whistled while he worked.
Caitlin came out and touched his shoulder gently. “Let me finish up here. Your father is going to town soon, you can go with him.”
Thomas had some breakfast while he waited for his father to be ready. Caitlin finished the gardening and came inside. She noticed Thomas admiring the tapestry again.
“It is beautiful, isn’t it?” she whispered, coming to stand beside him. It was his mother that had taught him to love art.
“Yes. Where did you get it?”

Thomas smiled. That was just like her.

“Flowers?”
“Yes, some daisies. You know, your father would bring me daisies all the time when he was courting me. It was very sweet…”
“Alright, mother. I will try to find some for you.”

In town Edward attended to some business while Thomas did some fishing. He wanted to catch some more fish to sell so that he’d have enough money for daisies. His mother had given him an idea.

“Sir, there’s something I’d like to give her…”

“What a lovely idea!” Caitlin was grinning from ear to ear.

The two of them snuck away to some stone ruins.

“I’m not sure. Perhaps an old village, but…” he looked around until he found the stump of the tree he was looking for. “Here. I heard a rumor that if you sing to the birds here, they may give you a gift in return.” https://i.ibb.co/8BsPsxp/10-18-23-9-09-37-PM.png

"What would a bird like?” Thomas wondered. "A soft melody, perhaps."
“Maybe, a love song?” Kimberly asked.

“You’re voice is beautiful.”

Thomas felt his heart racing. He thought suddenly of their parents, back at the park.

Elizabeth had been feeling sad all day. John noticed and went to her.

"Oh, John. I'm afraid I'm just feeling a little bit jealous of my sister, Anna. You see...I haven't been able to think of a name for the cow."
He looked confused. "The cow?"
"Yes, and when I was thinking of names, I could only think of what I would want to name our child if we had one."

Just beautiful chapter! <3 I loved the way those adults gave Thomas and Kimberly some space! And brilliant idea, singing to tree stump. Bummer about the rain. awww. poor Elizabeth!
What a nice chapter! Glad Thomas and Kimberly got to spend time together! Hopefully, Elizabeth and John's child will come soon. Can't wait for the next update!
