Ultimate Decades Challenge - Day 32 - Year 1307 - Updated Nov. 17
Hello! Follow along with me as I play Morbid's Ultimate Decades Challenge! The challenge begins in the year 1300 and goes all the way through history to the present day.
We will follow Thomas Farvale, 16, living with his parents, Caitlin and Edward Farvale. He has two older sisters. Anna (20) and Elizabeth (18) who are both married.

I have updated Henford-on-Bagley to look medieval, as well as a few other worlds. I used a combination of some builds from DivanTheSimmer's Medieval Save and SnarkyWitch's Medieval Henford-on-Bagley. I also am using quite a few mods, but that's totally not necessary in order to do this challenge. :)
Will comment on latest chapter later, but wanted to say...Lady Ravendancer Goth - a reference to Sims III (Lady Ravendancer Goth's Book of Spells) and also the crystal ball in the Sims 4 Paranormal - although I don't own these packs. So, yes, a medieval ancestor of present-day Goths. Pretty cool. And I just love that name, too.

Emma was a happy child, but she could tell that there was something wrong with her mother. She really wanted to cheer her up. https://i.imgur.com/cmzOWyr.png

She thought a song might cheer her up, and it seemed to work a little bit, but she was still very sad. Emma thought that maybe it had something to do with daddy. She hadn't seen him in so long. She wanted to ask when he was coming home, but she didn't know how. https://i.imgur.com/dTX3y0Z.png
Kimberly sighed. She had to get it together for Emma. Her sweet Emma. Her little song had cheered her somewhat, but she still had no idea what to say to her. Still, she pulled herself together enough to get some work done. The day before she had sat in a daze while her father did all the work. https://i.imgur.com/01HXeWS.png

Her husband came and sat beside her. "There is something we could do..." she started.
He looked at her questioningly.
"The spellcaster...in the tower. Can't you go to her again?" https://i.imgur.com/4SNaUfy.png

"I do not think she will help us...and besides, she no longer lives in that tower. Rumor is she married a wealthy lord in another Kingdom by the name of Goth. And anyway, we should not be consorting with...with the likes of her. Last time...I had no other options." https://i.imgur.com/3BVRChv.png
"Is this situation not dire?" she asked her husband.
"Yes," he sighed, "yes, of course it is. I will go tomorrow."

The last three chapters, seeing Kimberly so sad are heart-wrenching. So, with Thomas (the heir) now gone, will David be the new heir then since he is the first male child? Or does Emma's husband (eventually) become the new heir? I might have to re-read those rules again for patriarchies.
And thank goodness Emma aged up and lived. That would really have been horrible otherwise. And she got the independent trait. Lucky you and so much easier on Kimberly, too. I am glad that Kimberly's father came over to look in on her and the children. The loss of a loved one is very traumatic, and even the simplest of tasks are overwhelming. I feel so bad for Kimberly. Cute pic of Emma preferring to play with the chick rather than her toys. lol Here father really helped a lot and helped them all get ready for the funeral. And, yes, poor Caitlin, losing both her husband and her son. Now that is tragic. I loved the touch of the daisies on Thomas' grave. I tell you, the notice of a death on the farm and Grim's appearance again would have caused some panic in me.
Thankfully, Camilla is able to cheer Elizabeth up, with the passing of her father and her brother. Camilla is a sweet child.
And now we discover that Lady Goth is married and has a step-child named Raven. A child that she doesn't really like. Lady Goth, the evil stepmother.
Ahhh...little Emma singing Kimberly a song...and later Kimberly singing to Emma. Sweet. The little pirate bear is cute. Is that cc? Glad that Benjamin will stay with her for awhile.
I have a feeling that Frederick had gone to see Lady Goth, who had perhaps given them a potion or made a spell so that Arianna could have a child. Maybe Frederick and Lady Goth made some type of bargain on when the baby was born. Who knows? Anyway, lots of mystery and intrigue there.
Benjamin informed Kimberly that he needed to get back to his blacksmiths shop and since her and Emma were doing better, he would leave the next morning. She thanked her father for coming and staying with them. She really was so grateful.
"You keep practicing on that lute. And keep up with your singing. I'll be around of course, but you can teach Emma to read just like I taught you. When she's older she can help with the farm work too. Those crops out there are looking good and should make you some good money come harvest time." https://i.imgur.com/mWrrupw.png

Frederick arrived at the castle and was summoned inside.

"Where is she?" he demanded.

Frederick clenched his fists at his side but didn't say anything.
"We made a bargain, did we not?" Lady Goth reminded him. "Whatever I wanted in exchange for the flower from my garden. The flower that saved your wife's life. But when I asked for the child, you refused. I should have your head for breaking our agreement. Alas, it wouldn't do to kill the King of Brindleton..."
"How dare you..."

"I will never make another bargain with you."
Lady Goth only smiled. "I wouldn't be so sure..."
"I'll be leaving now," said Frederick, and he turned to go.
"Until we meet again," Lady Goth purred.
