What Do You Do When You Finish?

I don't know how to post a poll but what do ya'll do when you finish the end of your legacy or challenge? Delete? Keep? Take a commemorative photo?

So far I've kept them and then started a new save but those little boxes feel unfulfilled on the screen.
  • I always continue with the same save file. When I complete a challenge I take one or several sims into a new household and do whatever challenge is next on my list. The previous households I make into NPC homes. Makes the save more lively and I don't have to start all over again. Multiple saves are irritating for me.
  • I save my favourite Sims in my library and upload them to other saves as unplayed townies, and then delete the save.

@SimAlexandria even your completed 100 baby save? :o Wow that was such an achievement that I don't think I could ever bring myself to delete the save!

haha yes even that one, but I have the Sims from it saved in my library too. I was a bit torn on it actually, but happy I deleted it in the end. I'm a bit of a minimialist so it bothers me seeing saves I won't play anymore in my load screen Lol!!!!

I never finish a legacy or challenge so idk :(

But I can help with the poll thing! When you're in the discussion tab, instead of immediately clicking on "new discussion" in the top right corner, click on the arrow, then select "new poll" instead. Same on the phone: go to 'recent discussions', click on the pen symbol below and select "new poll". Should look like this on desktop:

  • I've kept my 3 year long playthrough saves. I have recycled a few story elements from there for 'Midnight",
also I have all sims still available. If I need new faces - I can bring some back (I already did, in fact).

I'll do the same with my current playthrough - if I will write anything new, it'll be in that particular
game instance. Again - I have all the saves and characters and what-have-you.

As for actual gameplay - writing took away all my time. I still have University to explore.
After that, I have quite a few plans.
  • The last time I finished a challenge was almost six years ago but all the save files are kept on my backup hard drive. Granted this was for TS3 and the save files were named a lot more intuitively. Like there's always the possibility I want to investigate something about my town(s) after the end, or grab sims (there was a HUGE extended family for starters).
  • I have only finished a couple of challenges, but the first one I didn't do anything with, just left it. The next one I finished I took that sim (it was a short challenge with only a single sim) and started a longer challenge. I'm getting close to finishing a couple of others and I don't think I'll delete them, but will probably take some of my favorite sims and use them in a different challenge somewhere, or download them into another challenge to use as a spouse or something. I just can't bring myself to delete them. I have multiple saves of most of them too and can't bring myself to delete those either. :D I'm a sucker.

I don't play legacies or challenges (too many rules and restrictions for my taste) but I like to take a lot of screenshots capturing important moments in my Sims' lives (first dates/kisses, graduation from college, engagements, birthdays, etc.) I save my favorite Sims and use them as background townies in other saves if I don't have a particular Sim in mind to play. Hope this makes sense. :)

Yeah! This is me! It bothers me seeing saves i won't play anymore but at the same time, deleting them feels like murder.
