What Traits Would You Like To See?

I would like to see a Cooking trait added. If a sim has this trait, they can increase cooking and gourmet cooking skills faster, and they are more likely to cook excellent meals and less likely to start a fire when cooking.

A Mixology trait would also be nice, so sims with this trait improve their mixology skills faster, and are more likely to make excellent drinks.

I would love for the Shy trait to be brought back. Others have argued with me saying that Shy and Loner are the same, but they are not. With loners, they don't like being around very many other sims. But a shy sim doesn't mind being around a large group as long as their two closest friends are with them. In Sims 3, Sims with the shy trait has some very adorable interactions when meeting others for the first time, or with others, whom they don't have a high relationship with. Shy sims love having large families, while loner sims large families will stress them out.

I'd like to see a "harmless" trait, where the Sim who has it is perceived as harmless by other Sims. So, in effect, other Sims don't get upset at them for doing things like flirting with a partner, planting seeds, cooking something etc. It would be a little like that "always welcome" trait you can get as a reward. It'd be well nigh impossible to get angry with someone with the harmless trait.
A return of the Stupid trait from Sims 3 (modded with Awesomemod) would be rather nice too.

I would like a 'loves occult' trait and a 'hates occult' trait.
Sims who like occults (aliens, vampires, spellcasters, werewolves and mermaids) would love being/becoming one. They could get better socials with occult beings, an occasional proud moodlet for being an occult and really sad if their are 'cured'
Sims who hate occults could get uncomfortable around them.

I would love to see an impulsive trait.
Sims with this trait are more prone to doing things at the spur of the moment. These sims would also have a harder time waiting for things and sitting still.

I really miss the Neurotic trait from the TS3 so I would love a similar trait in TS4. I really miss Shy too, but I am hoping Socially Awkward will be similar enough, although I haven't played with it yet so I don't know if it is. I would also love a Cultured trait, which I think was a hidden trait in TS3. These sims would enjoy learning new skills and talking about art/books/gourmet food/movies/music etc. and feel happy or inspired at museums, libraries and (if we get them) theatres. They could also have refined manners like Proper sims. Other traits I would like to see return include Equestrian (when we get horses), Overemotional and Eccentric. More improvements to the traits we already have would be very welcome too to give them more depth.

I wish we had an extra set of two traits that would randomly form based on how sims behave over time. It would be like "Get Famous" or "Werewolves". I would like an eventful trait where sims get extra boosts from attending and hosting a social event and unlock special rewards for gold social events. They could get a sad buff if they haven't attended an event in a while.

Another trait could be Redecorator. This would be a trait where sims feel the need to move furniture around or buy stuff often. Redecorating would give an inspired mood while not changing gives a tense moodlet.

I would like a Dependent trait for adults. These adults would only be able to leave their property with at least one other sim, except for school and work. There could be extra communication options where other sims could ask a dependent sim to do something and the dependent sim gets tense if they say decline. Sims are also more likely to say yes, pick up a late-night call or go somewhere with a dependent sim.

Thankful sims! Thankful sims love to give thanks and show appreciation even to objects. They should also get an additional energized bonus from doing so. Thankful sims would have an easier time making friends and can lose sad moodlets by appreciating their situation. I got the idea for this from "Seasons" holiday interactions.

Toddlers and child sims should have a picky eater trait. The first five times they eat a food item, they get into a tense mood. After that, they get a fine moodlet when eating those foods. Picky sims and also talk about comfort foods (foods they have eaten at least 5 times).

Devious sims would love to steal and be mischievous sorta like Evil and Kleptomaniac sims. The key difference is that during fights there would be a small chance of killing the other sim being fought.

I also wish there would be more traits buyable through the rewards store. There should be a fearless sim trait for 5,000 points. Fearless sims never develop fears and could talk about fears with other sims so they no longer develop scared or tense moodlets from the fear talked about with a fearless sim.

Expressive sims would enjoy sharing their emotions with others. There would be a paint, sing, play emotion interaction on the creative objects. Expressive sims would also be able to share their mood with other sims who interact with their expressive works or talk about emotions with the expressive sim.

Faithful. That would solve so many problems.

Traits over time I’ve been saying that for a long time. That they should have traits to choose from but the. Some should come about due to their life experiences. Love that I’m not the only one who thought about this I’m hoping to see

I really think the game needs "Loves Holidays" and "Hates Holidays" traits. I don't like that the game decides for you that your Sim "really likes" holidays and gets sad if they cancel or don't complete all the requirements, but conversely it would also be fun if Sims that liked holidays had reason to go above and beyond to celebrate. Let those that like put up extra celebrations or have extra interactions with other sims (or special interactions with sims based on their preferences), while those that disliked wouldn't get sad if you ended holidays early.

I guess holidays could be a Likes/Dislikes category, but I think making it a full trait might open up some interesting gameplay options and be a lot more fun.
