I know I said Raven's Apprentice was finished, and it is, but I did put an Afterword up on the blog with some thoughts about how the story and characters developed. If you're interested, maybe check it out and let me know what you think.

Interesting reading 🙂 Always fascinating to know why this and that was how it was.
Naturally, I am glad you did not go with your original plan with Bella 😄 Honestly, easy to say now, but I would have not personally been so interested about the story anymore, if so. Been a fan sense sims1 🙂

I'm glad too. I never much liked my original interpretation of her and had already largely moved away from it by the time I wrote the first Wyrd Girls story. By that point I had decided she really did love Mortimer and her flirting with other men was mostly job related... but she didn't really come into her own for me until Raven's Apprentice. Now, I'm a fan of my new Bella.
I've got ideas taking shape for more stories with her. We'll see what comes of them.

Also glad to hear about Bella, feels like if would've been an easy way to make her character, while also ignoring lore surrounding her.
The inclusion of Carmilla and Molly was an excellent choice, and you certainly did butlers better with Edwards than the pack did. Overall Ravens Apprentice was fun and exciting to read.
Hope you enjoy the break, can't wait for the next installment 😁- luciusstorm4 months agoSeasoned Veteran
Sims lore is interesting to me. I only started playing the Sims three years ago, and with Sims 4, so at first I only knew the brief descriptions households had in CAS and that only if I actually looked at them. 🙂 Eventually, I discovered a wiki and started exploring more... which is fun because the lore is a confusing, contradictory mess and Sims 4 is expressly a different continuity than the other games. Still, it gave me some interesting avenues to explore... like Cas and Don Lothario having a relationship and Bella's abduction. Also, obviously, Sims 4 Werewolves, with its detailed lore was something I latched onto. It's fun, balancing my own ideas with Sims lore and seeing what I come up with. 😁
Now I'm going to see about getting some of that rest I so desperately need.

I'll make it unanimous, you made the right choice with Bella. Your secondary characters, Carmilla, Molly, Aadi, and more, jump off the page and get your attention. I never come away thinking what was the point of including this character. I wish you the best during your break and that you come back feeling energized. I'm patiently waiting to see what comes next. 😁

Well, making characters is fun... which is probably why I end up with so many of them. 😄 I did add Carmilla, Molly, Lucius and Doctor Key to my character pages... and I just realized I forgot to add Edwards. Proof that I'm too tired to think clearly.
Rest time. We'll see if I can get through Strangerville with a story to tell. 🥀🧟
