2 words: Genie Lamps

I'd love to see a return of The Sims 2's genies, I wouldn't want to see it as an occult

pxirziqyrcnr​ You mean you want them as NPCs? There's a reason for it or is just a preference? I'd really like to create and play as genies but i don't know if there would be enough for a perk tree or how the living in a lamp would work (maybe a hidden lot? Idk).

Would be happy with any iteration of the genie lamp to make a return. Can be simple as an interactive object, an NPC, or an occult. Probably would lean more toward it being an object / NPC though, since making an entire new occult at this point would probably mean a much larger pack, and there are other packs that I would hope would be prioritized more, given how many requests and good ideas the community has (and Maxis has indicated potential interest in making via the surveys).

I would love an entire Aladdin inspired pack. Complete with genie, genie lamp, flying carpet, pet tiger and moneky, beautiful world with bazaar, enchanted cave and band of thieves.

Yes, these would be lovely too. Also date palms as new harvestables. I would still want a separate pack inspired by Egypt, Morocco and the Pyramids, maybe they could make that similar to Selvadorada and base it mostly on archeology and tomb exploration. They could add Bedouin tents and camels and Oasis/desert living. 

I would have loved to see some new impactful wishes.

• Sim powers, Like maybe you wish for the ability to fly and your sim actually gains the ability to fly around. 
• Size changes say your sim wishes to be a giant, then your sim actually grows into a giant, with new animations and all.
• Being able to turn into a animal you can control, also you can still talk which freaks out other sims.
• Maxing out a job with a wish. 
• Hybrid occult sim, like say you wish to be a vampire and a spell caster, or a werewolf and a mermaid. 
• Turning furniture and objects alive PERMANENTLY! None of that random temporarily spawning gnome nonsense we got now. 

WHAT I DO NOT WANT TO SEE! 

• Mood nonsense.
• Temporarily Nonsense, wishes should stay, unless it is wished as Temporarily. 
• Skill based nonsense, we don't want to skill up wishing. 
• Randomized nonsense that makes the game more frustrating. 

If we could get an entire Aladdin / Arabian Nights pack, then I would totally change my mind about not going all in on an occult. It would make sense then, and such a pack would offer a lot more (the same as how Enchanted by Nature is about more than the fairies).

If people don't want another occult pack, then genies/djinn could be a part of another travel world/tomb raiding adventure type pack. Though I would love if we could build inside of genie lamps and bottles XP

I noticed that Spellcasters swiped some of Sims 3 Genie abilities (summoning food/Delicioso, cleaning Sims and things/Scruberoo and Ensorcel Sim/Minionize). Not to mention fairies stole the floating over walking. This makes me think that either they won't make a genie (if this is like the issue of gypsies being a stereotype that is offensive) or it is going to be like a temporary state or unique character like Bonehilda.

I still hope we get the occult, but it looks like it might be redone, or recycled abilities. 

I’m ok with an inspired pack that combines all the Middle Eastern Countries mentioned but some folks from that region may not appreciate the artistic license given many of the long standing issues in the regions

I also want an expansion of archaeology, tombs and exploration. If I were to personally implement it I’d make different branches the same way the do in real life. For example

• Archaeology of the Americas - North & South America
• Classical Archaeology - Greek, Roman & Etruscan
• Egyptology - Egyptology
• Medieval Archaeology - Post Roman Europe
• Sinology - Archaeology of China
