A Dream Feature for a Future Sims Game

I've been thinking about this idea for a while, and I wanted to share it because I believe it could make a future Sims game truly unique.

I would love to see an optional online mode alongside the traditional single-player experience. The Sims has always been about creating stories, but imagine those stories happening with real players instead of only NPCs.

My idea is a huge online city where time never pauses. Players could choose to live normal lives or create completely unique stories. Every player would have their own home, career, family, and business while sharing the same living world.

Some features I would love to see:

- A massive online city with real-time progression.

- A player-driven economy where every business is owned and operated by players.

- Furniture stores, grocery stores, bakeries, cafés, flower shops, magical potion shops, veterinary clinics, and many other businesses run by players.

- Delivery jobs where purchased furniture is actually delivered to homes by other players.

- Hospitals with real player doctors treating patients.

- Police stations with player detectives solving crimes.

- Real estate agents helping players buy, rent, and sell homes.

- Apartments, landlords, roommates, and rental properties managed by players.

- Different lifestyles, from peaceful family neighborhoods to busy downtown districts.

I also think supernatural gameplay could become even more exciting in an online world.

Imagine:

- Spellcasters challenging each other to magical duels.

- Vampires secretly hunting for plasma while trying not to reveal themselves.

- Werewolf packs protecting their territory during the full moon.

- Mermaids living around tropical islands and interacting with other supernatural Sims.

One thing I think would make the world feel alive is allowing players to interact naturally instead of relying mostly on NPCs. Visiting a bakery would mean buying bread from another player. Going to the hospital would mean being treated by another player. Ordering furniture would require someone to deliver it. Every interaction could create new stories.

Of course, I understand this would be a huge project, which is why I imagine it as an optional online world. Players who enjoy the classic Sims experience could continue playing offline exactly as they do now, while others could choose to join the shared online city whenever they wanted.

I know this idea would be ambitious, but I truly believe it could become one of the most immersive life simulation experiences ever created.
