[AA] 23 Formative Moments Not Working

Wow, just wow. It would be nice to have a confirmation if this is the case or not. If half of the formative moments don't do anything... it's like been cheated, deceived and truly a waste of time to have formative moments.

Thank you. I noticed that my sim with the feed yourself formative moment, had no advantage in the culinary career. I thought that was odd but now I know why.

The 'Good Student' formative moment doesn't work at all in my experience. If you're already an A student it doesn't recognise it.

It looks like DU's trait_Reward_ChildhoodInspiration_AboutTechnology also has no corresponding buff file, but the Parenthood one is there. So 23 Formative Moments Not Working.

I tried to edit the OP but it keeps giving me errors and won't update.

Came here from my post about Aspiring Child Star, and wanted to thank you here for looking underneath the hood like this and seeing that it's not just Aspiring Child Star, it's sooooo many. 

I have more information, it was pointed out that formative moments traits are per career_level/career. For formative moments that have to do with careers.

The career files I looking was career/career_adult or career/careers_adult files, when I was looking through the files because that is where the other trait advantages are. But as pointed out that by some in the thread there is no advantage (including another bug report for fame points). Such as Culinary:

• career/career_Adult_Culinary here is where these traits/skills are getting advantages (career_story_progression): trait_Ambitious, trait_Lazy, trait_Foodie, trait_Glutton, statistic_Skill_AdultMajor_GourmetCooking, statistic_Skill_AdultMajor_HomestyleCooking, statistic_Skill_AdultMajor_Baking.

• career_level/career_Culinary_Level1 and so on, here is where (performance_stat_multiplier) trait_Reward_ChildhoodInspiration_FeedYourself moment is.

I don't know if this is a career_story_progression vs. performance_stat_multiplier issue. Or that because it is the career level file. Clearly this needs to be checked, tested and confirmed by devs.

Be comfortable in water:  I haven't had any issues prior to the 2 children I'm currently playing. They can't complete anything with the "doing anything" part of the moment. Nothing will trigger. Relaxing on the lounger, floating in the pool, swimming around, splashing, playing in water, wading in the ocean. Nothing. When their mother and uncle were children there were no problems at all. I'm not sure how to get it to work. I've tried several things Google suggested. I have reset them, traveled to a different world, went to manage worlds and back in. I have every pack and a few maker kits. I can't help but wonder if one of the last 2 updates did this.

Aspiring Author/Be a Horse Kid: I can read 50 books and it won't show up as an option. Read under the covers incessantly. For horses, ride them, hug them, watch Pony channel. I did that for 2 days strait with the mother of the children I'm having issues with right now. 

Inquisitive About Cuisine: It came up, but won't complete that last one. I removed them and hope they come back so I can finish it. One play online reported that it did for them and immediately completed. It unstuck it. I am not holding out hope. 

I have to admit, the formative moments had become one of my favorite parts of playing children. I love trying to complete them all. It's frustrating when something won't appear as an option or won't trigger as an action completed. It's made children so much fun. The last couple of days I have gotten so frustrated I've quit the game and binged episodes of Murder She Wrote. I know there are more issues with FM I could list. 

Would really love to hear something back about this (even if the fix isn't coming in June). Even if it is not all these formative moments—there is definite some issues with some. Would love official explanation or confirmation.
