There are multiple activities from small businesses recycled for custom venues and getaways such as "horses play and learn" "pets play and learn", etc. but there's no way to have the custom roles to actually be any of the pets or infants/toddlers. Please add this even if they don't spawn with caregivers. The whole point of Custom Venues is for us to decide how the lot functions.

Right, Creating Animal Venues is one of the reasons I got the DLC and from the way it was presented it seemed like it would work differently so that's not correct. We want to give other families' pets/horses the opportunity to participate in trips and go to personalized locations to carry out the planned activities.
Why would anyone purchase AA to control sims in their own household? We can already do this without Adventure Awaits. The point of the Schedule system within Getaways and Custom Venues is to control the behaviour of sims outside of the played household.
As other have said, this was either falsely advertised in which case EA should take accountability, or it is a bug and should be investigated and fixed in a patch.

what's the point of the "care for animals" Getaway task if we can't have farm-yard animals automatically populate a lot? I built a custom venue petting-zoo/farm/nectary for my San Myshuno sims and didn't realize none of the animal gameplay would work. super disappointing!
I can't even assign an infant/toddler to a role when creating a getaway for a family. I even assigned his dad to care for toddlers and infants. I wanted to use it for an extended family vacation and everyone can go except the toddler.
