Announce promotion (tell/brag about and congratulate on)

Seems like I ought to be able to tell others about a promotion (maybe brag about if I'm Ambitious), and I should have the option to Congratulate on promotion for other sims. Maybe you can even get a "jealous" tense buff or a "my turn next" confident buff from it.
This would especially be nice for family/household gameplay. Come home from work, tell my spouse about the promotion, have them congratulate me, maybe even have a friend offer to take me out for a celebratory dinner or night at the club.

  • Yes! I'd love more reactions to life events! When my sim got into university, it felt weird to have him leave without telling anyone in his family. My other sim won an award at the starlight accolades and came home to his wife smiling benignly at him with nothing to say (She couldn't attend the awards with him because she was not a celebrity, but that's a complaint for another day lol)

I like that parents can scold or praise their kids' recent behaviour, and similarly I think a tab in the pie menu for "discuss current/recent events" for all ages would be fantastic. You could have options in there like congratulating/belittling promotions, university acceptance, or getting engaged. I know some options like that already exist and will pop up for a microsecond inside "small talk" sometimes, but there are so many in there it's easy to miss them.

The "Hey I heard you became friends with..." texts are impersonal (and often bizarre in context), and I think texts referencing achievements and your idea about the possibility to trigger an invitation out would be such a good replacement. It would be great if it were based on traits where and how they chose to celebrate. A friend might take your sim out clubbing, but If it's your sim's parents, they might invite your sim over for dinner and toast the accomplishment. Aw :)
