Archaeology Career

Question

I realize this has been addressed quite some time back, but I feel it needs to be readdressed.

Ever since Jungle Adventures came out, it included an archaeology table. Since our Sims are already able to go on adventures or dig up treasures, etc. Wouldn't it be cool to have an actual career of it?

I realize there are even Mods made for this type of thing, but there are many of us who are either not up for using Mods or Custom Content or people are getting fed up with using them as they continually become "buggy" with every new and potential update or new EA DLC.

Since EA was the one to introduce us to these abilities...planting this "Want Bug" and obviously there are enough people who desire to have this opportunity in our games that Mods are being created for this purpose, shows there is a demand for this. Please seriously consider making this a possibility for us to use.

i think this is a great idea, they should add something in a already existing packs
yesterday i just mentioned about having a bowling aspiration in the "Bowling Night Stuff"
(i'd love to have a bowling venue too)

i love when existing packs get mentioned when it comes to adding some stuff that isn't here yet
i'd love to have a official career in the "Jungle Adventure" it's my favourite Game Pack :D

@sailorleontine I would love to see Sims have a bowling aspiration! After all, there are professional bowlers in real life or love to play it as a sport or shared interest. A bowling venue would be perfect too. I am surprised that wasn't thought of also with that stuff pack.

I am with you in hearing suggestions or learning of actual content that will be added to accommodate what we already have in the game. The only downside is that most of these we need to pay for as they are offered in another pack, EP, etc. when it should have really been added on to the existing game that got that option rolling.

@wasikm007&nbsp;I do this using the Register with Ministry of Labour option in the career panel of the phone to make up for not having an actual career. My Sims then write books and authenticate artifacts as part of their job as well as the jungle trips and exploration. It's one of my favourite things to do in the game.I do the same for Farmers, Ranchers, Nectar makers and retailers to give other examples. I love this option, partly because there aren't enough careers but also because I like that freedom of having my Sims work from home and setting their own tasks. It's also not affected by bugs like regular careers and career tasks can be.

@simsplayer818 Thank you so very much for your great suggestions! While I still hold the hope of EA doing something to make this more "official" and perhaps adding more to skills and work from home options to make it even more interesting, I will try your ideas as that can be an excellent workaround for more business ventures. Thank you!

@wasikm007 The coolest thing about it is that as I added more packs I could expand her career. So when I added Werewolves she moved from investigating the jungle to investigating Moonwood Mill too. She's also completed most collections. Her office is full of all the pack artifacts, Werewolf relics and books, etc. She's also been to Sixam and collected everything there, she's been to Batuu as well. So she's an expert on just about everything and her travels have taken her to all worlds and she's studied all the different lore. Her office is in the attic of her home, Yuma Heights.
The funny thing is her friend travels with her and keeps dying in accidents but luckily she has the skills and knowledge to keep reviving her!
