Auto Save Idea

Unfortunately they took the auto-save feature away. I guess too many people didn't like it before.

I can get why a lot of players wouldn't like autosave due to play styles - certain storytelling styles. I also can get wanting autosave for certain play styles - different kind of storytelling and plain building things. In the end, they probably should have made autosave an optional thing you could toggle on or off.

Ea please for the love of god please please please add auto save im knackered and annoyed of my game not saving when I exit and ive made a whole house and legacy in a game and it doesnt save please add auto save please I beg you ea I need auto save

Especially since the game is also locking up and crashing more without warning.

I think this goes without saying, please EA, implement an autosave feature! With the various bugs many experience in The Sims 4, lag and freezes as well as occasional crashing aren't uncommon to come across. Many lose hours upon hours of their playthrough due to not expecting such issues to occur or require a manual save every 5 minutes.

This feature would be well received by all TS4 players, and should be a priority for EA to implement. I acknowledge and accolade the EA TS4 team for continuing to push bug fixes out, but we really do need an autosave feature, at least in the meantime.

I wouldn't want an auto save feature, just because it might save the game at the wrong time. I want to be able to exit the game without saving if needed, so if they add such feature, would be nice to put it on a toggle button, so we can opt out. 

hello. today is june 22nd 2025 and i would like to leave a suggestion for ts4. MAKE THE SIMS AUTOSAVE. my game crashed a few times over the past few months and i ALWAYS forget to SAVE because there is NO AUTOSAVE. it would be really helpful if you could do that. thanks!

I think they used to have it automatically save every time your sims traveled. I think that was a removed feature from years ago. 

Can we please have an auto save feature on PC so that if you're building a house and the crashes you don't have to try and remember when you last saves and it would limit how much you have to redo in the build.

I am curious why auto save features have not been implemented. I mean if auto save isn't able to be coded, then why not have a hot key made for saving itself. Such as Ctrl + S, quick hotkey to save. I've looked over many Reddit posts, and articles through the web to see if y'all have made one. I believe if y'all are able to implement this will definitely help us builders. Allowing an effortless save then continue our build and if our game crashes, or power goes out, or laptop dies all our progress isn't lost.

To me this will make the game more smoother in terms of spending countless hours making and perfecting our builds. I do find it hard to remember to save when I am hyper focused on a build for hours on end.
