Base game requests: Dlc features

I analysed some packs and created a list of features that would make The Sims 4 base game look more like the previous The Sims base games. Most of them aren't key features for their packs, others are crosspack features and some are just small systems or animations.

• Skills:

Baking skill (Get to Work): We have baking recipes on the BG, like cakes, cookies, cupcakes, pies, but not the skill. (Inspired by: Free the Baking Skill )

- Dancing Skill (Get Together): We can dance in different ways to different music genres on BG, but not build a dancing skill.

- Singing Skill (City Living): We can sing at karaoke/in shower (City Living), sing as mermaids (Island Living), sing holiday songs (Seasons), etc. Also we can't be famous singers in Get Famous if we don't have City Living. That doesn't make any sense since we have a music station there and can even create songs in BG.

Painting nails UI (Spa Day):
We have nail polish clutter and painted nails, but we don't have the nail color choice system in live mode.

Lot traits (City Living):

- Party Place - A great addition to the party aspiration, social events and venues like saloons (BG), bars (BG) and nightclubs (GT);

- Romantic Aura - Perfect for venues like bars and parks where you go on dates;

- Great Soil - Willow Creek have 2 garden-centered neighborhoods so why can't these lots have this trait?

- On Ley Line - Cities are more stressful than towns. How could it boost the chances of conceiving twins?

- Penny Pixies+Gnomes - Tell me this shouldn't be a Glimmerbrook (They're teasing fairies everywhere) and Henford on Bagley (England...Fae Folk...) thing.

• Lot Challenges (City Living):

- Cursed - Willow Creek is like the capital of voodoo, so why not having it as a base feature?
- Gremlins - Doesn't the movie happen in a house?
- Spooky - Perfect for bringing the ghosts out since we can barely see them without Get Together.

Clothesline (Laundry Day)
I really miss this features in Season since we can get our clothes wet during rain, but we cannot dry them. Also seeing clotheslines in Sulani made me wonder we couldn't have them with the pack too.

Temperatures (Seasons):
Due to the existence of hot and cold weather clothes category on the base game, this would provide an in-game reason for this. Also we can have ghost dead by hot and cold weather there so why not have its cause?

Reputation (Get Famous):
You don't need to be famous to have a reputation, and that would add a nice boost to the Depravity and Popularity aspirations on the base game.

Tanning (Island Living):
Why would we have lounge chairs if we can't get tanned without a pack? Also we have moon bath for base game but not sunbath, how does that makes sense?

Fashion Preferences (High School Years):
We have these styles on the BG and even their fashion tags so why not have a preference for them?

Puberty (High School Years):
Acne is a key part of teenage and is featured in teen-focused packs like Parenthood and High School Years. Also we can have facial/body hair and remove it on CAS, but why we can't shave?

Pillow fight (High School Years):
Well... base game beds have pillows, so why can't we use them? It would be great to build relationships with friends, siblings, parents, etc. And now we have a free pillow object...

Slumber Party (Growing Together):
Many times when planning children's birthday party we can't call their friends from school, because we don't know them, so it would be a great opportunity to make them meet the family, or just bring your friends, family members, club (Get Together) or wolf pack (Werewolves) for a sleep over.

Milestones (Growing Together):
We have special notifications in BG for specific life events like birth, marriage, death, first kiss, so why they don't show up as milestones?

Conversation topics preferences (Growing Together):
We have all the "conversation topics" on BG so why can't the sims have preferences? Everyone should be able to experience the social compatibility in a social game as The Sims.

Body freckles and moles (Growing Together):
We have freckles and moles for the face but not for the body. It's like having to buy High School Years for facial/body hair or Get To Work for pregnancy. It doesn't seem fair.

Bicycle (Discover University/Growing Together): We have 3 packs featuting bicycles (DU, CoL, GRO) but its still missing in High School Years and also on the base game. We have a biker helmet in BG but we can't make a use to it since there's no bicycle. ✅

• Cheerful Changing Table by Kindermade (Growing Together):

As a core part of raising a  baby, this one matches the objects design on BG so it doesn't make sense keeping it as a pack exclusive.

• Fight intruders (For Rent):

Now that sims can fight intruders, i think this options should be enabled when we're being robbed by kleptos (and burglars) or having our house invaded by vampires.

Great list of suggested inclusions to Base Game! A lot of features listed here could be considered foundational items or cornerstone assets that future DLC could build or expand upon. Some of these features are being reintroduced in separate DLCs, such as Dance Floors and Bicycles, so as these items are becoming a more common, why not also include in the Base Game?

    To build upon this list:

    • Diseases (Get to Work):
Include the experience to go to a rabbithole hospital in Base Game and come home with prescribed medicine in the Sim's inventory.

Thank you for bringing this topic up for discussion.

  • Adult hair:

We got those hairs for kids a long time ago, but they didn't came to adult sims. Why children have these hairs for free while older sims need packs to have it?

    • "Breaking and Entering" (For Rent):

This feature is perfect for kleptos, criminals, secret agents and detectives which/whose work a lot outside of this pack, so why not bring it to base game so it could be used for other features out of this pack.

    Atractivity (Lovestruck):
As social compatibility the attraction is a core feature for social and romantic relationships. Also since we gained 6 turn ons/off categories we could get 3 of them for free, since they're things that we already have on Base Game like hair colors, outfit colors and fashion.

Cemetery lot type (Life and Death):

There's a lot of cemeteries around the sims world but they're not actually functional. It also doesn't make sense keeping this lot type to a pack that doesn't have anything particular to make it work when we got wedding venue for free given that we could marry anywhere before it.

    Funeral event (Life and Death):

We can grieve with base game so why not bring this event to the Base Game? We don't need the funeral activities, (maybe) not even the guest attire customization since nothing BG have it, just an event to honor the dead.

    • "Set Ghost Color" (Life and Death):

Since we didn't get anything new for ghosts in Base Game, this would be really appreciated given that ghosts are not known and liked for changing colors everytime and everywhere.

Agree! Those all seem like they should be base game things!
