Bee box gives entomology skill

So I have three burtie's bee boxes on a lot and regularily apply mite treatment and when interacting with bee boxes my sims aquire the entomology skill.

It makes no sense. Bees are not butterflies. A bee box has nothing to do with butterflies.

I dont even care at all about butterflies and the skill. I dont want my sims to have it because they dont do anything with it. Thanks to MCCC I can prevent my sims from aquiring the skill this way but the notification pops up anyway every time. Its so annoying.

    Entomology does give relationship bonuses with bees and I believe you get additional honey from harvesting if your entomology skill is high enough. It's not communicated properly though.

    I agree it would be nice if the skill bolstered your relationship with the bees or meant they autonomously gave you gifts. Anything to enhance the gameplay with the bees as you build the skill would be ideal.

    Just unlocking the skill from a bee box but not offering any effect involving bees through the skill doesnt sound like a smart design.

    I believe this is intended. Entomology is the study of insects, so it's been cross pack applied to Seasons and Outdoor Retreat. 

    Lepidopterology is the study of butterflies and moths. Given that they chose to call the skill Entomology indicates that they always intended to have this skill apply to all insects across the various packs.
