Better Sims relationships
I forgot which sims game it was but I liked the mechanic or the idea of two sims in a relationship having different relationship gauge levels. I feel like this would add better story telling for sims...

Unrequited love is sorely missing from this game. For the life of me I don't understand why anyone thought relationships should be symmetrical in this game (other than simplicity/cheapness/laziness).
The sims 4 was my first intro into the franchise and looking back on the others, they genuinely looks so much more fun than sims 4.
Sims 2 is where the relationships could be different between sims. Sims 4 was orginally an online game before the SimCity always online fiasco. So I think relationships between npc sims was an afterthought when they scraped that part.
