Can we get a book nerd pack? One with maybe an aspiration like “Book Dragon” where you earn points through reading a crazy amount, visiting libraries, shopping at bookstores, discussing books with other avid readers, completing a series, collecting enough books to be considered a personal library, etc You know? It’d be so fun! And honestly the game needs more books. And it would also be cool if the books sims wrote in the game became available for other sims to buy and read! I mean it may be wishful thinking, but I would buy this kinda pack in a heartbeat!

Really cool suggestion! I wish we had reading/literacy skill and reading for hobbies likes/dislikes, so we wouldn't need to use the Book worm trait for a deeper gameplay, exactly like the Romance skill. I think it'd be cool to have imagination/creativity skill for older sims too.I also really miss books about mermaids, servos, ghosts, plantsims and skeletons that work like the Vampire Lore/Werewolves books for occults or occult enthusiast sims.This made me remeber of the Fairytale Pack wishes. Maybe we could get a magic world of fictional books, with fantasy, horror, sci-fi, etc.?

Right and teens and kids can do a book report like they have to read then write a report about for homework or extra credit.

@CuteeOwl Also I do like that Sims writing books and other Sims buy it and that sim gets paid also a book signing, the author can talk about their book, and get like an award like on get famous for the book they wrote. They can make it like novel series also get famous they can get a star on wall of game for being a famous author if you want to go on the famous route.

@CuteeOwl The ability to listen to Audio Books, maybe as a Radio Station and/or Computer/Tablet interaction might be a nice addition to a pack like this.

@Briana2526 Good idea! A Book Signing event would be a cool new Social Event that can be held at a Library, maybe. I know that if your Sim has a copy of their written book in their personal inventory, they can read an excerpt on the microphone. Maybe that could be an event task as well as Signing Books.

@Vyo4 Brilliant! I love all of these ideas! And I’ve always been annoyed that in Sims 4 you don’t get to order a copy of your own book. And to have them actually use a lounger chair with an ottoman correctly? That would be amazing.
Also, seeing the little kid Sims reading to their stuffed animal friends would be so adorable. With the big stuffed animals, they could even sit in front of them and hold the book up as if they’re trying to show the giant teddy bear what’s on the page. It would be so cute!

Custom Covers for Written Books
Wouldn't it be neat if we were able to distinguish Sim-written books from pre-made books? To choose the custom cover art of Sim-written books to help them stand out against the crowd. Right now our written books disappear among the pre-made books; we have to hover over the icons to see which copy is one that my Sim wrote. Maybe we could get a pop-up of choices for each genre for Sim-written books (with the default generic swatch also listed if wanted). We could unlock fancier covers when we unlock the ability to write a Book Series.
Book Of Life Update
A pack like this would also be a perfect opportunity to update the [Shameless Post Plug] IDEA: Visual Significance to the Book of Life. Always thought this supernatural book should look more significant and not look like just another mystery novel.

@Vyo4 Oh I love that!!!! if we could customize the book covers, it would be like the best thing ever. And if they allowed us to use swatches like they do in Sims 3, it would be even better because then you can truly customize it to your taste.
