@HawnaKitty And yes, I agree. Maybe the reason why they can't fix this right now is because of many reasons:
1, They could be working on higher-priority issues first, like ones with over 200+ replies and me toos. It seems like this is the case because since the thread says it's open, they probably want to get more replies in.
2, Sometimes they don't remind us about being alert in the page, but are alert about it. This could also be the case, but usually there will be more support from staff.
3, in rare cases, they are making a new game. or finishing something really big.
4, Or simply they haven't reached to us yet. Better wait a little longer!
@LlamaOMamaThere are several years old big issues and not one word from the devs if those issues are even on their radar. So I add another possibility to your list:
5, the devs dont care.
And they could very easily communicate with us about whats currently being worked on. The complete lack of communication supports this. Its a common problem in the gaming industry.
- @Zasz_Zerg I agree....none of them care! They know about the BIG bugs and how many of them we have. They just don't care. There is not ONE pack I've bought that doesn't have a bug.
To be fair. Bugs are expected. But ignoring the old bugs, introducing negative features, ignoring feedback and releasing half-baked packs is what triggers me.
Always a good example is the moodlets instantly collapsing 90% of the time for no good reason. Why even collapse moodlets? There is tons of room to display them all. I actually have room for 16 moodlets but most of the time I see only 2-4. Just because. It was probably too much work to create a flexible display that respects the resolution to prevent moodlets overlapping the time controls. Or maybe just move the time controls to literally anywhere else (with user option) to display all moodlets without overlapping anything! Crazy how good the devs are at not solving these simple problems that haunt us players since release.
Dont even get me started on the CAS interface. My true nemesis.
I dont expect the devs to solve the wants/fears problem. I just dont. Not after they created this terrible new system. Not after ignoring all feedback about it. We are stuck with this nonsense now.
- @Zasz_Zerg I so agree! There's no way I'm purchasing Sims 5. Being ignored by a company who doesn't care has taught me a lesson on where I spend my money. I've been playing the Sims since the first one was released but the bugs take out any fun I had with it.
- @HawnaKitty I agree entirely that a simple Communication indicating that they were aware of this problem and were addressing it would be helpful. I don’t understand why this should be so difficult. There are other universal toggle and un-toggle choices in game settings similar to this one - how hard can it be to fix?
- @nickinbigd I think they prefer to ignore the bugs than fix them.
