Wants and fears are not gonna be ok for me. I was so used to whims! Turning them off wouldn't be right for me, I just am connected to whims. Maybe make an option button to enable and disable whims and wants and fears respectively. The image of Humiliated Sakuya has whims, that's what I want to see. I don't need to see Shion stay on the lot for 8 hours or be alone, I want whims.
I find the fulfilling of their wants very frustrating. Some of them are ridiculous and when they don't happen they rage around the house kicking over wheelie bins. I had a family of four taking turns all day at kicking over bins.
These are some of the wants:
Rile up so and so - and mentions some townie child who they have no dealings with
Become an enemy with...and mentions their mother, or again some townie that no one knows
Bro hug someone - and this requires you to go out and find some other male who happens to have the Bro personality and hug them, which only comes after forming some friendship. My Sim has had this want for years and is in despair because it wont be fulfilled. I don't have time in the game to take him out and wander around looking for a bro.
Weed the garden - I don't have a garden
Make enemies with ... and this was an adult who wanted to be enemies with some townie child he never had anything to do with
Be in a well decorated room. I spent a fortune on decorations for the house and it made no difference.
It spoils the game as these are so way out and unobtainable so as to make it unenjoyable. Does anyone else feel this way?
@TheMagnumWolf The wants and fears are just doing nothing but annoy the crap out of me. Like you said some are unobtainable, some simply won't register when you do what it says, and they typically don't seem like anything my sims would actually want. For example my sim with the Soulmate aspiration got the want to go steady with their romantic interest, then almost as soon as they went steady (which the want for that didn't register by the way) the sim had the want to breakup. It reminded me of an old Kids In The Hall skit where this couple gets married, then almost immediately get divorced just to quickly want to get married again. The Kids In The Hall is an old comedy show by the way.
I've had so many times where my sim would get a want to be friends with a specific sim, only for my sim to already be friends with them. Oh you mean you want to be friends with this person you're... already friends with? Well that's great... good luck with that! I also don't like being penalized for not doing something that should be optional. Oh no you didn't do this thing I wanted, how dare you! Don't even get me started on the fears. I swear my sim always has the same 3 or 4 fears that just won't go away, or even if they do they just pop right back up pretty quickly. I had one time where my sim conquered their fear of the dark, only for it to immediately pop back up.
It wouldn't be so bad if we could properly disable this stuff, but seeing as how the toggle option doesn't work even that is irritating. Even though there were whims that had similar problems, you could at least click them away if you didn't want to bother. Oh and the option to disable whims actually worked!
Let me add to this so everyone knows what is going on, because my sims still gets whims. This is the breakdown as of now, you get 1 broadcast whim, 1 want and 1 fear.
A good example is I have a want to view a piece of art that comes from my asperation, I also Have a want to flirt with a sim, that comes from my relationship panel, my sim is afraid of unforfilled dreams because that want of flirting with a sim is not being forfulleder or any sim wants/whims. The wants are whims are the same thing, except they just added the fear into one of them.
@CommodoreLezmo , yes! In addition to that, with the Seasons Holiday events calendar, you can also edit existing holidays to be easier to complete for those Aspiration points! So, for Love Day, if I have Sims that are single that I don't want to get them into a romantic relationship at the moment, I just change what activities need to be done in order to satisfy that holiday's requirement to get the points! So, I usually just have them decorate their home and watch the Romance channel on TV! 🤣

Essentially, these rules in the context of this discussion means that discussing certain modded content on the forums would not be appropriate, particularly as this mod raises the rating of the game. I've edited the name of said mod from the thread title and posts as a result. Please, if you're going to discuss that mod, do not share the name, abbreviate it, link to it or go into detail about explicit activities enabled by it on Answers HQ. This will protect young Simmers from learning of it's true name and finding content that isn't age appropriate - this is important, we need to do our part to protect minors online.
TL:DR: Naming/Abbreviating/Explicit Detail of/Linking to adult themed mods isn't ok. Please keep that in mind for again and look out for younger Simmers.

We are talked about the system before Wants & Fears came in game. EA official named it so, we never talked about an adult mod. This is just hilarious that you edit this whole thread and remove this word.
