@EeveeTinn Hi! My apologies but I'm wondering what it is you're trying to do there. Is it the weird bumpout of the counter? I've definitely have had some problems with getting just the right cabinet/counter configuration. If you could provide more detail about what you're trying to accomplish, perhaps we could help you get a better setup?
Second picture is when you choose "auto-placement", which normally works okay for other counters, but with this one, when you connect the last piece to the corner cabinet, there is a bump out.

@EeveeTinn Thanks for the extra clarification! I did some testing and now I believe this is a design flaw that I never noticed before, since I normally don't create an L shape for counters into a room. I tested several different counters (Country Kitchen and a couple base game ones) and noticed the counters change when they touch a wall. They shrink just a bit and some counters add a backsplash.
The bumpout occurs even when using the auto placement feature.
If counters aren't touching a wall, they don't change. It's the same for all counter shapes, not just the end pieces, like this regular "tile" piece.
It would be better if the counters were able to match the shape of the existing counters, especially when auto placement is turned on. Hopefully the Sims team sees this and investigates the possibility.
In the meantime, I was able to use the Alt key (free placement) feature to get the configuration you're looking for. It can be a bit tedious, but perhaps it's worth the effort if you want your counters to line up with each other?
- EeveeTinn2 years agoSeasoned Ace@JonaO703 exactly, they shrink! I noticed that first yesterday, even though I build a lot - it just seems I never decided to build where I go from a wall to "non-wall", and therefore not noticing the difference. The counters slot to the wall to make them fit, but they shrink, and then if you want to continue the shape connection off the wall, the piece does not shrink.
I had to put a half wall for the counter to fit properly...
I tried moving the counters off the wall a bit, so they do not shrink, but the gap between the wall and the counter really bothers me hahah so I gave up on that idea.- crinrict2 years agoHero+@EeveeTinn That's the same as this: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Game-Questions/BY-DESIGN-Counters-not-lining-up-while-placed-against-a-wall/m-p/8194535 right ?
