City Living refresh ideas

As much as I have been annoyed at Sims 4 in recent times, I still feel affection for the game especially when it comes to City Living. In fact, if it wasn't for that and Get Together, I would have never brought Sims 4 to begin with.

As much as I adore San Myshuno (to the point that I had to force myself to move my sims to live in other worlds to justify me buying them lol), I still have a couple of Ideas that would make the pack even better than it already is, other than obvious bug fixes.

First, City Living originally came with events where Sims would call you to invite you out to rabbit hole events ( Opera, Musical, Concert, Circus) provided you had enough friends but I believe I only got called once and then never again the longer I played. This disappointed me since I thought it was cool that I was doing stuff that one would do in a city but with more packs added the less likely I'd get those calls. My idea would be to make those events actual rabbit holes you can go to yourself or invite sims with you to go. There is a warehouse building in the Spice District that you could use for said rabbit holes, similar to the Stadium in Britechester. Each rabbit hole could either happen at different times or available all the time with admittance fees being different for each event. That way people wouldn't have to rely on random calls to see it and that building can be more than an empty shell.

Finally, the Zoomers food delivery while cool to use, only serves the same food each time I call. It is suppose to be like Grubhub but there have a bigger variety. My idea would be to revamp it so that it gives you a randomized selection of all the food you have unlocked depending on the packs you have that have vendor food carts and it changes daily. I'm aware that this might be more difficult to code than my first idea but it would give people a reason to use the service more, especially if they aren't using Cottage Living.

These are just my ideas on it and since I'm on console, I can't just grab a mod and put my ideas to use as much as I would like to. Since you guys aren't playing to make Sims 5 and will continue to work on 4, perhaps you can use this whenever you decide to do world refreshes. Also, bring back Rabbit Holes, but make them relevant.

(Side note, is My Wedding Stories safe to buy yet? I was tempted for the tea sets and the cake shop but I don't want to break my game more lol)

  • @SereneAngel218 I'm also playing on console and since Sims 5 isn't happening that's actually a good point, pack refreshes would be great.

On your question about Wedding Stories it might help to take a look at the compiled list of bugs. Hopefully I've linked it to the right bit lol but it's Game Packs>My Wedding Story.

I had issues at the start on console after installing it but that was about 2 years ago when it was only a few months after release. But Tartosa is absolutely beautiful. I don't play weddings that much but it has lovely content and the cake shops are fun.

@simsplayer818 Well, it looks like they actually did some work on it so I feel a little more confident getting it. I'll just wait for the laundry list patch fix and see if it goes on sale or not and then I'll get it. I don't care about weddings but Tartosa would make a great vacation world since now I can create a proper Tea Parlor (or at least find one in the gallery since I'm not a great builder) to have a Tea Party Club with my sim's friends from Britechester Uni. Now, I just need EA to fix the Thrift and Boba Shop lot...
