Re: Cyberpunk city!!

i have an idea in mind which is in this link

https://simscommunity.info/2024/09/19/sims-4-expansion-packs-survey/

It mentioned Cyperbunk and i like the idea of it really

I may be open about the history how people used to deal with things, their lifestyle, the castle and such (minus royal, not my cup of tea)

But i also want packs that's based on the current one or even the future, i have no idea what the future will bring in real life but i do know we work with technology, we started to work with technology and in the future it's the new normal (like we Dutch people calls it)

So this pack idea makes sense to have it based on technology

The link described everything but i'd like to add we need a futuristic, whimsically dystopian world with building that's made for the world it won't match with the rest of the world (like not at all)

Tittle name: The Sims 4: Cyber Horizons

  1. World Name: Techtonia
A utopian (or dystopian) society built on technology

  • "world based on: Germany, Sweden and Finland combined
  • "Tech" for technology: the advanced, futuristic tech-heavy foundation of the world
  • "-Tonia" for a form of Utopia, which hints at the idea of a perfected society, or it could be a wist suggesting a society that is striving
for that ideal but may be teetering on the edge

2. Lot Trait - "Techno Utopia"

I think the idea of a technology lot trait is awesome! Maybe it could give a boost to certain skills but also add a touch of tension or struggle, like the tech being super advanced, but maybe a bit malfunctioning in some way—think a future where society is overly reliant on machines.

For example:

  • Boosts handiness, video gaming, and hacking skills.
  • Requires regular maintenance on robotic devices.
  • Occasionally causes glitches or breakdowns that create unique gameplay challenges.

This could make gameplay a bit more dynamic as the player needs to keep the machines running, adding a little chaos to the otherwise utopian lifestyle.

3. Robots and Technology Helpers

I love the idea of robots handling everyday tasks, especially caring for babies and toddlers! This could open up some neat interactions where your Sims can rely on technology while they’re busy.

  • Robotic Nanny: The robot could interact with infants and toddlers, playing with them, changing diapers, feeding, and even teaching skills like potty training. Maybe the nanny bot also has a "Personality" trait that makes it either super efficient or a bit clumsy (leading to a few funny glitches or accidents).
  • Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner Bots: Imagine a robot chef that prepares meals based on your Sim's preferences or dietary restrictions. Maybe the bot can create futuristic, experimental dishes that have quirky side effects—boosting energy, creativity, or giving Sims the "Buzzed" moodlet.
  • Drone Delivery Service: You could have robots or drones that bring delivery packages to the house, kind of like an automated version of the mailman or grocery service.

4. Steampunk Replacements

I’m all for blending steampunk elements with futuristic tech. You could have gear-inspired furniture, steam-powered devices, and high-tech gadgets that look a bit retro-futuristic. Think of old-school Victorian machinery crossed with ultra-modern robotics. Some cool items could include:

  • Futuristic Clothing: Combining the sleek, metallic looks with Victorian-style corsets, gears, and leather. So, outfits like long trench coats with holographic effects, goggles, and a mix of tech and fashion could really fit into your pack’s aesthetic.
  • Mechanical Furniture: Like a coffee table with visible gears that move, or a chair that adjusts and folds itself when you sit down. Maybe a mechanical bed that assembles itself when your Sim goes to sleep.

5. Video Games and Gaming Consoles

Bring back the console! It would be amazing to see Sims playing more interactive video games. I imagine there could be a futuristic gaming console with virtual reality glasses or something that feels like a cross between The Sims 2's style and something high-tech:

  • VR Gaming: Sims could enter a virtual world to play games, like a cool futuristic, sci-fi game inside a game, with unique activities.
  • Gamer Career Track: This could tie into the new pack, letting Sims pursue a career as a professional gamer or game developer.
  • Retro Games on the Console: It’d be fun to have an option where Sims can play retro video games from the "past" in this futuristic world.

6. Technology Shop / Crafting & Recycling

This could tie in perfectly with Eco Lifestyle, as you mentioned. You could have a Tech Shop where you can craft futuristic devices by recycling items. For example:

  • Build Robots: Create new robots, drone assistants, or mechanical helpers from scrap parts and old tech.
  • Upgrade Existing Tech: Maybe your Sims can upgrade robots or appliances in their home to make them more efficient, or even more "human-like."

Also, maybe some robots and gadgets could have quirky personality traits that affect their interactions. For example, a cleaning robot could be hyper-efficient but has an overly snarky attitude toward the Sims, while a nanny bot could be overly protective.

7. Personality Trait & Aspiration Ideas

Personality Trait:

  • Tech Enthusiast: This Sim is always looking for the latest gadgets, fixes things themselves, and gets an extra boost to tech skills. They might also get a bit irritable if the tech isn't working.
  • Cyber-Savvy: They can hack into systems, repair machines, or tweak gadgets in the household for fun. Maybe they also enjoy tinkering with electronics and feel energized when creating new tech.

Aspiration:

  • Master of Machines: Your Sim dreams of becoming a technological innovator, designing the next-gen gadgets, robots, and systems for the future. This could involve crafting, upgrading robots, and maybe even creating an entirely self-sufficient, tech-based household.
  • The Cyber-Dreamer: This is more for the futuristic, whimsical side—your Sim wants to be the first to experience the most cutting-edge technology, from VR adventures to quantum computing, constantly pushing the envelope with experimental tech.

I like the things this person in this link have mentioned Steampunk stuff pack idea. | EA Forums - 12064444 but i think either Game Pack or Expansion Pack makes more sense especially with my ideas combined

This is more of like a fantasy pack but i love a more fantasy pack ideas

And i get it's not for everyone but i bet some people loves to have this in the game

I can't think of other ideas but i did came up with the ideas based on the survey they can add things with my ideas (and this person in the link combined)

It's not the first time i created ideas based on the survey they can add other things that isn't mentioned in the survey there

I made one based on cars and i made an another one based on the 80/90's surveys

I almost wanted to add things for the open ocean exploring pack survey ideas but there's an already existing pack topic based on the survey ideas so i leave that be👍
